2019 RECAP
Coming off a one-win wooden spoon result in 2018, Hadfield showed plenty of upside in 2019, improving its win total to four.
Back-to-back three-point losses early in the season to more-fancied opponents in East Sunbury and the Sunbury Kangaroos quickly reminded all of Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 not to take Hadfield lightly.
The Hawks played with no fear and were consistently able to stay with sides with more talent on the park, resulting in a surprisingly positive percentage of 100.55 despite their 4-11 win-loss record.

EDFL MEDIA SAYS
Hadfield is set to emerge as one of Strathmore Community Bank Division 2's key improvers this season following a healthy injection of experience since the end of 2019.
While the loss of ruckman Brandon Smith is significant, overall you'd have to give Hadfield's list build a massive tick coming into 2021 with Andrew Budge, Peter Di Cecco, Steve Golding and Mark Sabatino, among others, all expected to feature in the new-look best 22 come April 10 at home to East Sunbury.
It's a kind early season draw for the Hawks with winnable games in the first month, so Brett Pitts and his men will be hoping to feature in the top half of the ladder in the early rounds.
