Neil Falcke Inducted As EDFL Life Member

Falcke Nomination Confirmed

KEILOR great Neil Falcke has become the EDFL's 94th Life Member.

His nomination was confirmed during the league's Annual General Meeting last week.

Keilor, via its Facebook page, wrote the following tribute this week:

The Keilor Football Club is thrilled to confirm the appointment of Club Legend, Neil Falcke as Life Member of the Essendon District Football League.

His nomination was confirmed at the recent EDFL AGM, where his achievements both on and off the field were lauded.

Some of his career highlights, which stretch over an amazing 60 year period with the Keilor Football Club, which were detailed in the board nomination include;

- First played Junior football at KFC in 1960

- 3 time Premiership Player including Keilor’s first A Grade Premiership in 1973

- EDFL Reserves Competition Best & Fairest 1978.

At the conclusion of his Football career, Neil remained active in a number of roles at the club including Football Operations, Team Selector, Ground Management whilst still offering his services for just about any other volunteer role at the club.

Whilst his on field achievement are enviable, it could be reasonably be argued that Neil greatest contribution to our great club, was as a member of the Executive and Club Committee where he served diligently for over 20 years.

Our Club, and by association the EDFL, is richer through the extraordinary efforts of Players and Administrators such as Neil Falcke that willingly volunteer their services so that our football community continues to prosper.

Please join us in extending our warmest congratulations to Neil and his family.
