The Essendon District Football League has today announced that Moonee Ponds’ Mount Alexander Hotel has come on board as the EDFL Player of the Day partner for the 2025 season.
Each week the hotel known for its vibrant atmosphere will award the men’s and women’s Player of the Day with a bar voucher worth $50 to be spent on food and drinks at the venue.
Across the season, Mount Alexander Hotel Players of the Day will be selected by the EDFL commentary team during broadcast games.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the EDFL as the Match of the Day - Player of the Day sponsor,” said Mount Alexander Hotel Co-owner Kane Tancredi.
“It’s exciting to be part of this collaboration, offering players the opportunity to experience our top-notch dining facilities and enjoy the warm hospitality of our staff. As a central part of the league region, we’re proud to support the league and look forward to a successful partnership.”
