Former junior EDFL umpire Michael Pell will officiate this Sunday's Hawthorn v North Melbourne game at the MCG after being elevated to the AFL Field Umpiring Panel.
Pell, a Hadfield junior, began umpiring with the EDFL as a 13-year old.
His list of accolades so far include umpiring the 2017 TAC Cup Grand Final, 2019 VFL Grand Final and the 2021 AFLW Grand Final.
The EDFL wish Michael the best of luck for Sunday as he takes another step towards a long and successful umpiring career.
