Latest from the EDFL and AFL Victoria

As of June 2nd

Following the Victorian Government's announcement on Wednesday 2 June of extended restrictions on Victorians due to COVID-19, below is a summary of what it means for community football:

From 11:59PM Thursday 3 June for a seven-day period, to 11:59PM on Thursday 10 June community sport in metro Victoria remains closed.

This means all senior and junior community club football training and matches, as well as Auskick, continue to not be permitted for the extended seven-day lockdown period in metropolitan Melbourne.

AFL Victoria will continue to be guided by advice from the government and health authorities. Stakeholders will be updated with further information regarding restrictions and protocols for community football and Auskick, when available.

The EDFL remains proactive in their attempt to reschedule all games missed due to the latest restrictions.

The Board and all EDFL staff wish our members and stakeholders good health and well-being during these trying times.
