Kangaroo Zac Lands At Adelaide

Selected at Pick 44

Oak Park and Pascoe Vale junior Zac Taylor will join the Adelaide Crows after being selected with pick 44 in last night's National Draft.

The 18-year old has been lauded for his high footy IQ and elite disposal throughout his junior years.

At 180cms and 74kgs, Taylor projects as a crafty small forward or possession winning midfielder at the highest level after taking out the Calder Cannons' best and fairest award earlier this season.

Taylor was named in both the Nab League Team of the Year and Strathmore Community Bank Division Two Team of the Year after making his senior debut with Oak Park this season.

The Kangaroo played four games in the seniors during 2021, being named in the bests on all four occasions and kicking 10 goals.

He was also played one VFL game with Essendon in May.

Taylor's EDFL plaudits stem back to 2013 when he first won the Under 10 Division 3 League best and fairest.

He went on to win the Under 12 Division 2 League best and fairest in 2015 and took out the Under 15 Division 2 best and fairest in 2018.

Taylor also featured in various EDFL junior representative teams at the AFL Victoria Metro Junior Championships during this time.

In 2019, he was selected to play for Vic Metro in the AFL Under 16 Championships.

In total, Taylor played 141 games of junior football for Oak Park and three games for Pascoe Vale, kicking 129 goals along the way.

The EDFL congratulates Zac for this outstanding achievement and wishes him all the best throughout his AFL journey.
