EDFL Young Guns Hit The NAB League

Season Commences January 21st

Over 50 EDFL junior products will feature across the Calder Cannons and Western Jets programs in the upcoming NAB League Girls season for 2022.

Announced in the past two weeks, there will be 39 EDFL players in the Cannons setup for 2022 and 13 EDFL representative at the Jets.

After claiming the 2021 Airport Toyota leading goal kicker award, Keilor's Olivia Manfre will co-captain the Cannons alongside Reese Sutton.

Joint winners of the Under 16s Division 1 Girls Best and Fairest award, Camryn Bux and Amy Gaylor have both made the cut at the Cannons while winner of the Under 16s Division 2 Girls Best and Fairest award, Maddison Albrecht will also feature for Calder.

Her runner-up, Gracie Lamers, has been selected for the Jets.

Elsewhere for the Jets, Aberfeldie's Charlotte Baskaran and Keilor's Montana Ham have been touted as some of the top prospects heading into their draft year.

The Calder Cannons begin their season at 10am today against the Eastern Ranges, while the Western Jets have the Round 1 bye.

They'll formally start their campaign next Sunday against Tasmania.
