Top of the ladder Hillside will face off with Keilor for the second time this year with the sides meeting at Hillside Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
Hillside won by 71 points in their first encounter as the Sharks defence held strong all day with the Blues only registering one goal.
The Sharks boasted an even spread of goalkickers with eight players hitting the scoreboard and four players kicking multiple goals.
The teams have had very different seasons with Hillside yet to lose a game this year and sit comfortably on top of the ladder, while Keilor have only registered the one win against Westmeadows and sit in seventh place.
Caitlin Sargent has been one of the most impressive players in the competition throughout 2024 booting 31 goals from her eight games this year.
Oak Park will host Essendon Doutta Stars at JP Fawkner Reserve it what looms to be one of the games of the round.
Oak Park have had another really strong season and sit in second spot on the ladder while Douttas sit in fourth, however are only a game behind third place Aberfeldie.
The Kangaroos proved to be too good for the Stars in their Round 2 clash winning by 16 points in a low-scoring encounter.
Douttas just when down to a strong Maribyrnong Park outfit last week while Oak Park recorded one of the best wins when they took down Aberfeldie at Clifton Park.
Alex Quigley will be one to keep an eye on for Oak Park having booted 18 goals from just seven games and will need to be kept quiet if Douttas want to record their fifth win for the year.
Moonee Valley will take on Westmeadows at Ormond Park.
It’s been a difficult year for Westmeadows who are yet to record a win but still have shown some positive signs.
Moonee Valley sit in sixth spot with three wins with their most recent coming last weekend when they took down Keilor at Green Gully by 38 points.
A win on Saturday could see them move to equal points with Maribyrnong Park and Essendon Doutta Stars and could make a late finals push if they are able to upset some of the top sides in the competition come the end of the season.
Maribyrnong Park will host neighbours Aberfeldie in a highly anticipated clash that could have huge ramifications come finals time.
Last time the two sides met they played out a classic with Aberfeldie kicking a goal with a minute and a half to play to down the Lions by four points.
A win for the Lions could solidify their spot inside the top four and move above Essendon Doutta Stars and equal on points with Abers.
Marby’s recent form has been strong with wins over Essendon Doutta Stars and Oak Park, as well as pushing ladder leaders Hillside all the way whereas Abers are coming off a loss to Oak Park at home last week.
Tegan Matthews will be one to look out for kicking 26 goals from her eight games this year and sits second on the leading goalkickers tally.
Another big game on Saturday could help her side get over Abers and see them move inside the top four.
Keilor Park will host Strathmore/Pascoe Vale in a good opportunity for either side to pick up a much-needed win.
Both sides have struggled so far in 2024 but the match could impact who finishes on the bottom of the ladder in 2024.
Keilor Park currently sit in fifth spot while Strathmore/Pascoe Vale sit in sixth only a game behind them.
A win for the hosts will all but ensure they avoid the wooden spoon with only four games left to play but a loss could see them be jumped by Strathmore/Pascoe Vale in the coming weeks.
Strathmore/Pascoe Vale’s last win came back in Round 6 when they defeated Tullamarine whereas Keilor Park haven’t won since these two sides last faced each other back in Round 4.
Ladder leaders Burnside Heights will face off with Airport West at home on Saturday in one of the games of the round.
Burnside Heights have been one of the best teams in the competition and are coming off a strong 126-point win against Keilor Park.
Airport West were able to hold off Tullamarine last week by two points in one of the games of the year and currently sit in third spot on the ladder.
Kayla Ravanello and Bella Negri will be the ones to watch for Burnside.
The dynamic duo have combined for 37 goals for the Bears and will need to be stopped if Airport West have any chance of causing an upset.
Greenvale will play Tullamarine at Section road.
The Jets have been in fine form throughout the 2024 season and remain the only team to beat Burnside Heights throughout the competition.
Tullamarine on the other hand have won just the two games but still sit inside the top four only on percentage.
The Jets cruised to their eighth victory for the year last weekend when they took down Strathmore/Pascoe Vale while Tullamarine went down to Airport West by just two points.
Alisa Magri has been one of the best players in the competition for Greenvale this year.
The Jet has booted 31 goals from her nine games and sits comfortably on top of the leading goal kickers tally.
Another big performance would go a long way in helping her take out the award for the third season in a row.
East Sunbury will host Roxburgh Park to kick off Division Two action.
The Magpies sit in fifth spot while it’s been a difficult season for East Sunbury who are yet to record their first win this year.
It will be the first time in three weeks since Roxburgh Park has played after they sat out last week following the King’s Birthday long weekend.
Just before their break, the Magpies put in one of their best performances for the year beating the previously undefeated Sunbury Lions and will be keen to continue their winning ways.
Ladder leaders Sunbury Lions will travel to Cole Reserve to take on third-place Coburg Districts.
The two sides played each other only four weeks ago and it was the Lions who came out on top, winning by just seven points.
Since the loss, Coburg Districts' recent form has been very strong beating Sunbury Kangaroos by just one point and easily accounting for East Sunbury.
A win on Saturday will see them move into second spot on the ladder and jump the Sunbury Kangaroos who have played two extra games than the Lions.
Another win for the Sunbury Lions should mean they wrap up top spot on the ladder as they’ll be two games clear with only three rounds left to play during the home and away season.
Natachia Abela will be the one to watch from this game.
The Lion sits on top of the leading goal kickers tally with 21 goals despite only playing six games – three less than the next best in the competition.
Glenroy will host Taylors Lakes at Sewell Reserve on Saturday.
It’s been a difficult year for Glenroy who sit in sixth spot on the ladder with just the one win while Taylors Lakes sit in fourth spot with three wins for the year.
A win for Taylors Lakes will certainly boost their finals chances as they sit equal on points with fifth place Roxburgh Park and are only 18 per cent above them.
Taylors Lakes were unlucky last week going down to second-place Sunbury Kangaroos by just four points however they have won just the one game since May 11 which came against last placed East Sunbury.
Glenroy went down to the top-of-the-ladder Sunbury Lions by 58 points and haven’t won since Round 5.
Sarah McNally has been one of Taylors Lakes' best throughout 2024 booting nine goals from just seven games and will be looking to add to that tally and help her side get over the line on Saturday.
