Round 12 of Airport Toyota Division Two opens at Clarke Oval when Sunbury Lions and Gisborne meet.

With both clubs having a season of contrasting results, Gisborne are in the better position for this one, but the Lions won’t be contesting it without giving it their all.

The Dogs are strong off a 101-point showcase over Roxburgh Park, while the Lions return following a cancelled game.

The return of star Bulldog, Kareena Jacobsen-Logan, speaks wonders for the side, booting three on return.

But with a strong talent lineup for the Lions, Sunbury will be bringing it all on Saturday.

Frequent goalkicking duo, Ruby and Samantha Burnside know how to be a handful for any opposition.

And leading best-on-ground getter Taylah Brady will be at it again.

In this rematch of the Round 8 meeting, Sunbury will be hoping to see reward for effort while the Dogs sail towards a home qualifying final.

Taylors Lakes and Roxburgh Park will go head-to-head at Lionheart Reserve.

After both were held to just a lone goal in their hit outs before the bye, the Lions and Magpies will enter this one firing.

Placed at second and fourth respectively, these finals-hopeful sides will be eager for a win in this one.

Sarah McNally and Madison Bayes were the goalkickers for their respective sides, courageous against hungry opposition.

With their last meeting going all the way back to May, it’ll be interesting to see what’s changed when the two meet.

In what was a true Airport Toyota Division Two special, the match treated on-lookers to a combined 16 goals, with Taylors winning it away from home, 67-40.

And the talent in Charlie Goodwin and Jameson Best contesting at either end of the ground will be one to watch too.

The round closes off under the Eric Boardman Reserve lights when the Sunbury Kangaroos welcome East Sunbury.

Having not played a match since the end of June, it will be interesting to see what’s changed in the East Sunbury camp.

The Thunder are yet to sing the song in their short history, but it won’t be long until they do.

Showing more and more attack on the scoreboard has been a delight for both fans and the league, led by Thunder captain Rhianna Kirk with three this season.

The Kangaroos enter this one following upsetting Taylors Lakes for the second time this season and show no signs of slowing down as finals draw near.

Placed third with a 6-5 record, the Kangas will be eager to lodge a spot in the top two for a crucial double chance. But a win is still a necessity to keep them on that path.

Watch out for Roos’ Tylah Bell and Summer Pazsa.

Their standout consistency have been of much value to the club, with Bell booting eight goals so far and named best on ground in all but one match.
