Round 3 kicks off on Friday with Moonee Valley and Aberfeldie headlining one of the biggest games on the calendar for Anzac Day.

Aberfeldie remains at the top of the ladder heading into the new round undefeated, bolstered by a stellar 98-point win last week against reigning premier Oak Park.

Moonee Valley on the other hand has some handy inclusions and will be hungry for its first win of the campaign.

Aberfeldie will be looking for their stars to step up to keep the momentum going, with several of their players currently among the top goal scorers in the division, Mo Hope (16 goals) and Em Smith (11 goals) leading the way.

Moonee Valley was kept scoreless until the third term last week and will need to refine some things beforehand if they're to give themselves a shot.

Both sides will play the only scheduled match of the day at Ormond Park, with the first bounce at 1:50pm.

Saturday will certaintly be a jam-packed afternoon, with Essendon Doutta Stars and Hillside meeting at Buckley Park.

Douttas dazzled last week, keeping Greenvale scoreless in their 124-point win.

Meanwhile, Hillside were victorious with a 110-point win over Moonee Valley.

Adalita Pizzinga’s six-goal haul was among Douttas' highlights in round two. Can she go back-to-back and help her side secure another win?

It won't be easy against Hillside, but it'll be a good tester for Marie Napoli's side.

Oak Park is set to face Keilor at JP Fawkner Reserve.

After back-to-back losses Oak Park is desperate to turn things around.

Currently sitting on 6th, the reigning premiers face a big test against Keilor who are coming off their first win of the season after a 109-point demolition against Maribyrnong Park.

Greenvale Recreation Reserve rounds out the weekend with a clash between Greenvale and Maribyrnong Park.

The home side is on the hunt for the second win of the season after a heavy loss to Essendon Doutta Stars.

After struggling to register a point last week, Greenvale will be looking for a stronger showing with a number of contributors needing to step up on Saturday afternoon.

Marby will be looking to bounce back after their recent 109-point loss.

With positive signs emerging in their roster, they’ll be counting on consistent performers like Saskia Williams, Elise Korteman, and Chloe Healy. Could they be the key that helps Maribyrnong Park unlock its first win?

Tullamarine and Keilor Park kick off Round 3 with the highly anticipated Anzac Day match at Leo Dineen Reserve.

Tullamarine suffered a tough loss to Westmeadows last week, remaining goalless for the entire game.

Sitting at 0-2, they'll need to dig deep to secure a win and build momentum as the season progresses.

After kickstarting their season last week with a 46-point win against Coburg Districts, Keilor Park enters this game with a much-needed confidence boost.

The Devils will being hoping to carry that motivation and chase a second win, with emerging performers like Georgia O’Donovan and Caitlyn Crameri leading the way.

Burnside Heights will play hosts this week at Tenterfield Drive, as they take on Westmeadows

Burnside was handed a tough loss last week after falling short against Strathmore. Managing 1.0 during the match, the side will need to make some adjustments ahead of their next challenge.

Westmeadows’ back-to-back wins against Tullamarine and Coburg Districts see them sitting firmly at the top of the ladder.

A win over Burnside will further solidify their position, but there’s no doubt that their opponents will be hungry for victory once more.

Coburg Districts and Strathmore will close out Round 3 at Cole Reserve.

Coburg Districts are yet to find form in 2025, registering a combined 6.1 across their first two games. However, they do enter the round with solid performances from consistent contributors like Georgia Ogston and Bridgette Aparo.

Though they will need to not just depend on consistency if they’re to defeat second-placed Strathmore who've had an expectedly strong start to season 2025.

Round 3 of Airport Toyota Division Two kicks off with a Saturday morning blockbuster at Lionheart Reserve as Taylors Lakes takes on Roxburgh Park.

Taylors Lakes is coming to this battle straight off a 112-point demolition over East Sunbury thanks to a Rebecca Foggie and Charlie Goodwin masterclass, with the pair kicking 10 goals between them.

Roxburgh Park looks to win its second straight game to kickstart their 2025 campaign, after a 66-point win over Sunbury last Friday night.

These sides last met in Round 14 of 2024, when Roxburgh Park took the win by 17 points.

A local Sunbury derby will see Sunbury Kangaroos take on Sunbury Lions at Eric Boardman Reserve in a Round 3 grudge match.

Last year’s runner up, the Lions, will be looking to take their first win of the season after two straight losses dampened the start of their 2025 campaign, and with the side yet to show their attack on the scoreboard, will this change in Round 3?

The Kangaroos go into the derby with the home ground advantage and look to redeem themselves after a 29-point loss to Gisborne last Saturday.

These sides last met in Round 14 of 2024, when the Sunbury Lions took the win by 20 points.

Round 3 closes off when the winless East Sunbury hosts the undefeated Gisborne at John McMahon Recreation Reserve.

It is the first time these two teams contest each other, after Gisborne  re-joined the EDFL ahead of the 2025 season.

Gisborne has caused a stir among the competition in its return currently holding top spot on the ladder after two wins.

Last Saturday under lights they upset the Kangaroos in a 29-point win, thanks to five goals by their star Kareena Jacobsen-Logan.

East Sunbury will hope for an improved performance after two tough losses.
