After a 145-point masterclass last week, Aberfeldie will host Oak Park in Round 2 in a grand final rematch.
The current ladder leaders were an offensive powerhouse in their opening game, keeping Marby scoreless until the third quarter.
Aberfeldie’s win was helped immensely by new recruit Moana Hope. Hope is proving to be a crucial early key for the team slotting seven goals in her performance.
Emily Smith was equally as impressive, contributing seven goals in the huge win and was named one of Aberfeldie’s best players on the day.
Oak Park is coming off a stinging loss and is looking for redemption.
Despite the loss, the side showed positive signs with a late surge in the final term that saw them narrowly missing out on the win, falling short by just six points.
Essendon Doutta Stars look to continue their winning ways this week and will face Greenvale at Buckley Park.
Essendon had a rotation of names that bagged goals, with a total of seven different goal scorers.
The key will be whether Douttas can keep up the momentum. Their opening clash saw both Harmony Mitsos and Lucy Dunne soar on the field, with their performances helping deliver a stunning win.
Sophie Wheeler, Lara Temiz, and Awatea Poutini were among Greenvale’s best players last week.
Fans will be treated to a sensational clash at Buckley Park, where the two sides will meet in 2 for the first time since the 2023 Division One grand final.
For Maribyrnong Park and Keilor, the first win of the 2025 campaign will be on the line at Green Gully Reserve.
Maribyrnong Park struggled last week and is looking to push past their opening game blues after only managing to register 12 points. Saskia Williams was among the best on ground, kicking two goals.
Meanwhile, Keilor is hunting down their first points of the season.
Maribyrnong Park and Keilor both need their stars to step up at Green Gully Reserve on Saturday if they are to get their season on track and earn their first win of 2025.
Hillside is set to face Moonee Valley in a thrilling matchup at Hillside Recreation Reserve.
Hillside played a solid game last week, led by stellar performances on the field from that include Jasmine Kincaid and Natasha Campbell. Despite a quiet start for both sides in the first half, they found their footing against their opponents to take out the win.
Moonee Valley is looking for redemption following their 49-point loss last week. While they might have lost in Round 1, they showed potential through the performances of Charlotte D’Ambrosio, Poppy Gallagher, and Michaela Chalhoub.
The game looks set to be an exciting one, with both teams hungry to take out the win.

Burnside Heights and Strathmore will square off at Tenterfield Drive following Round 1 wins for both sides.
The Bears stood tall in the final quarter to secure a tight win, while Strathmore struggled their way in front of goals to a comfortable win.
Burnside Heights were goalless in the opening three quarters before booting two goals in the final term through Holly McGregor and new recruit Jacklyn Caruana.
With some key personnel out, coach Michael Davis will be looking for further contributors across the board.
Strathmore, meanwhile, kicked 2.9 for the game and will no doubt be looking to clean that up if they're to secure a second win.
Keilor Park and Coburg Districts are looking to pick up their first wins when they play on Nelson Alexander EDFL Match of the Day.
Scoring was tough for both sides in their Round 1 losses with Keilor Park registering three points, and Districts the one goal straight.
It'll be the second game for the Devils under the returning Marcus Barclay and will be hoping the first game would have gelled the group following the arrival of a number of new players.
Coburg Districts finds itself in a similar position with new players, but found production of out of some of them like Steph Pontonio (one goal) and Katherine Jansen (named in the best).
Who can gel together the best on Saturday to open their account?
Twilight footy will conclude Round 2 in Airport Toyota Division One with Westmeadows hosting Tullamarine.
The Tigers enjoyed their first win since 2023 last week and would love to maintain momentum against the Demons.
It was a positive first showing for Tulla, but they were unable to finish the job in a close contest.
Westmeadows enjoyed a spread of goalkickers, while Tullamarine will be looking for more.

Friday night footy will kick off Airport Toyota Division Two with Roxburgh Park hosting Sunbury Lions.
Both sides are looking to bounce back following Round 1 losses.
Roxy faced a strong Gisborne outfit and were blown out of the water from the start.
Last year's preliminary finalists will be looking to start stronger against the Lions who had a tough first showing.
It's a different looking side to last year and may take some time to build, but will have a good chance to do so this Friday night.
Taylors Lakes will look to make it two from two when it faces East Sunbury at Lionheart Reserve.
It was a fruitful off season for the Lions who showed what they're about with a 118-point Round 1 win.
The Thunder on the other hand suffered a heavy defeat, and will look to continue to improve throughout the season.
A twilight contest at Eric Boardman Reserve will close out the round between Sunbury Kangaroos and Gisborne.
Both sides enjoyed big wins in Round 1, each scoring 90 points.
Gisborne returned to the senior ranks and showed off its new-look side with conviction.
Chey Macumber is a familiar face in the EDFL who starred with a goal, while the highly touted Teagan Ainslie and Belinda Hateley will be focal points for the Kangaroos.
The Kangaroos got more impressive as the game went on last week, and will need another four-quarter performance as they look to make it two wins to start the season.
