SUNBURY LIONS v PASCOE VALE
Sunday 12:30pm at Clarke Oval
PASCOE Vale travel up the highway to take on Sunbury at Clarke Oval in this match, which will see eighth up against 10th in an opportune game for both teams.
The Sunbury Lions will take confidence out of their win against Craigieburn in Round 6, despite suffering a 105-point loss to Hillside last weekend. Hayley Wright was able to celebrate her first goal in football, with Jacinta Lee, Jessica Sutton and Chloe Bull named best.
Pascoe Vale were able to welcome a couple of additional players into the team for their Round 7 match against Westmeadows, fielding 18 players.
Rita Iocco, Shannon Gore and Marie Napoli were again strong contributors.
In a testing year for both teams, a win here would be significant.
Sunbury Lions will be able to stay in striking distance of the top six by recording their third win, while it would be great encouragement for the Panthers, who have proven resilient despite an upwards battle thus far.

TULLAMARINE v GREENVALE
Sunday 2:20pm at Leo Dineen Reserve
Tullamarine is a team that should not be underestimated going into the back half of the season and they face a developing Greenvale side in Round 8.
The Demons sit fourth, a game behind Keilor Park, with four wins and three losses and have good form at Leo Dineen Reserve, with their only loss coming against Moonee Valley.
The Demons have skill and dare with Kiandra Tuvaine a constant presence along with the attacking run of Tricia Devine and Sam White.
Natasha Ziegelaar is also a likely forward target, having kicked six goals for the year.
Greenvale were able to match Avondale Heights around the ground and on the scoreboard for the first half on Sunday, but couldn’t maintain the same level, coming out slowly after half time.
However, they finished the game well with 1.3 to 0.0 in the last.
The Jets will look for Bianca Torrijos to have a big game against the Demons.
MOONEE VALLEY v ROXBURGH PARK
Sunday 2:20pm at Ormond Park
Moonee Valley did as good teams do in Round 7, finding a way to win under pressure in a thriller at Keilor Park.
In a low-scoring contest where every goal counted, the Fog kicked the match-winning goal to register a stirring come-from-behind victory.
Nina Djordjevich, Alexandria Caddy (two goals) and Santana Daly stepped up to their challenge and helped guide their team home.
Roxburgh Park came home hard against Essendon Doutta Stars, but left their run too late, going down by 28 points.
Fakapale Falesiu was a strong presence in the ruck and Shelby Best was able to finish off the hard work of her teammates around the packs, finishing with two goals.
In a clash of the black and white jumpers, the Magpies will step up as another willing contender, but they will need to apply strong attention to the Fog’s ball carriers.
