Keilor consolidated its top two position in Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division with an 18-point win over Pascoe Vale on Saturday.

At the half time break Mick McGuane's side had established a healthy 39-point lead at Raeburn Reserve.

The Panthers came hard at the Blues during the third term but wayward kicking saw them convert 2.7 to Keilor's 2.1 to still trail by 33 points heading into the last quarter.

A four goal final term wasn't enough to close the margin and leaves the Panthers lingering outside the top four.

Nick O'Kearney returned in a best-on-ground effort for Keilor, while Kristian Economou was Digby Morrell's best with Christian Mazza kicking three goals.

Oak Park has sent shockwaves through Strathmore Community Bank Division Two after it defeated the previously unbeaten Moonee Valley by 27-points.

Both teams struggled to get going early with only one goal kicked in the opening stanza with blustery winds making conditions tough at JP Fawkner Reserve.

But it was the Kangaroos who were able to steady first, kicking four goals to two in the second quarter as Moonee Valley missed some valuable chances.

The composure, application and efficiency of Todd Clarke's side stood out in the second-half as the Roos kicked away with eight second half goals.

While the Fog looked to have plenty of moments, kicking 6.19, it was more than their inaccuracy that cost them on the day.

Blair Cronin starred up forward kicking five goals while Taylor Hotchkin was named the Nena and Pasadena best-on-ground by the EDFL commentary team.

East Sunbury received a major boost as it strives to secure a top four spot in Division Two with the Thunder defeating Burnside Heights by 10 points on Saturday.

With a distinct wind advantage at one end only two points separated the teams at half-time, proving that whichever side made the most of the conditions would go along way to winning the game.

Coming out after the main break, East Sunbury managed to kick four goals to one as they opened up a 22-point gap on their opposition.

From there, two final quarter goals by the Thunder was enough to hold off the Bears at the final siren.

Jack Dillon and Bryce Whelan both impressed for the victors on the day.

Abers on the Board

Aberfeldie has secured its first win of the 2021 season after it upset second placed Hillside by 5 points.

In tough conditions on Saturday night, both teams slugged it out at Shark Park in rain and wind under lights.

The low scoring contest saw both sides locked at three-quarter time with all to play for and it was the wooden spooners who were able to make the crucial blow scoring the only goal in the final term to secure victory.

Jacqueline Wade, Amy Starzer and Jacara Egan all hit the scoreboard for Abers with teammate Kylie Kennedy putting in another good performance this year.

For Hillside, Rachael Jackson was one of the Shark's bests with Taylor Mesiti and Ebony Wilkie their two goal scorers.

Marby Secure Finals Birth

Maribyrnong Park will play finals in Airport Toyota Women's Division Two after they defeated Burnside Heights by 31 points on Saturday.

The Lions blew some chances up forward early but a strong defensive performance didn't make them pay for their inaccuracy in front of goal.

After leading at quarter time with three points to none, they were able to get their kicking boots on a blow the margin out to their eventual five-goal win.

Chelsea Chau, Nicole Porter, Caitlin O'Reilly and Lily Hughes all snagged a major for the Lions with Katherine Maccubbin the standout for the victors.

Alana Vidov and Abbey Omara battled hard on a tough day for the Bears.

The win sees Maribyrnong Park go three wins clear of the Sunbury Kangaroos with only two rounds remaining.
