EDFL Board Changes - December, 2022

New Member Joins Board

Following the Essendon District Football League’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 7th December, the League wishes to announce the following changes to it’s Board.

After four years serving the board, retiring member Steele Waterman will be replaced by Steve Webb.

"Steele has been a long standing and respected League Investigator known for his direct and professional approach," EDFL Chairman Bernie Shinners said.

"We thank Steele for his contribution and service to League whilst on the Board."

Steve Webb holds extensive experience in sport and has a long history with the EDFL at both League and Club level.

He has also been involved on junior committees in community sport for both cricket and football for over a decade as well as coaching and coordinating age groups for much of that time.

He also held the position of EDFL Football Operations Manager in 2019.

“Steve is a worthy addition to the Board and brings a quiet but committed approach to lifting the standards of our League at all levels, ” Shinners said.

Shinners will continue his position as EDFL Chair after being re-elected at the AGM, with Andrea Tacono and Jan Chantry OAM also re-elected in their place on the board.

The other members of the Board are Ian Price, Gareth Hanlon and Nick Condos.
