Airport Toyota Women’s Weekend Outlook - Thursday July 6, 2023

Presented by Airport Toyota

It’s a split round in Airport Toyota Women’s Premier Division, this week will see Moonee Valley play Oak Park, and Keilor play Maribyrnong Park.

Moonee Valley secured an important win against Keilor to sit two games clear of them in third position.

Oak Park are second on the ladder so it’ll be a tough task, but a win will secure a finals spot.

It was a comfortable victory for the Kangaroos the last time they played, winning by 55 points on the back of a strong forward half performance.

You can’t help but the game between Keilor and Marby could be the difference in the finals race.

They share the same amount of points but the reigning premiers will have to play Oak Park and Aberfeldie in the final two games, while Marby will face Hillside and Oak Park.

Marby had the better of this matchup the last time they met, winning by 42 points.

Airport Toyota Women’s Division One is also in a split round this week with Burnside Heights playing Sunbury Lions, and Essendon Doutta Stars playing Gisborne.

The Bears are coming off a huge win against the previously undefeated Greenvale, and will want to build on that stirring win against Sunbury Lions.

The last time they met, the Bears won by 82 points with five multiple goal scorers.

A win for Essendon Doutta Stars will secure third spot, but also keep them in touch with a chance for a top-two finish should Burnside Heights stumble.

The last time these sides met, Douttas won by 31 points.

Coburg Districts will host Maribyrnong Park 2 at Cole Reserve.

A win for Coburg Districts would officially secure their spot in finals while Marby would want to finish the season strong.

It was just a 15-point game the last time these two sides met.

Moonee Valley 2 and Aberfeldie 2 will begin their jostling for second spot on the ladder when they play at Ormond Park.

The Fog won by three goals the last time they met.

Over at Raeburn Reserve, Pascoe Vale will play Sunbury Kangaroos

The Kangaroos took care of business the last time they played which was their first game in Division Two.

In the final game, Airport West will host Westmeadows 2.
