The Essendon District Football League is proud to announce a new partnership with Sports Direct Australia, a multi-brand sports retailer, in a deal that will see the Sports Direct Broadmeadows Central store become the league’s official destination for sporting equipment, footwear, sportswear and accessories.
Starting with this weekend’s Grand Opening event, EDFL members will gain access to exclusive deals, starting with a 30% discount. This offer is available on all full-priced items in store until 30 September 2026*.
From 9am this Saturday 12 September, EDFL families will have the opportunity to be some of the first to experience the new store, while also having the chance to receive a $100 store voucher and goodie bags, meet EDFL homegrown star Isaac Kako, and get their own personal trading card printed.
Over the next 12 months, Sports Direct’s Broadmeadows location will host a range of dedicated club evenings and events, offering teams and families a wide range of sports and lifestyle products, including big brands such as Nike, Adidas, ASICS, HOKA and more, at great value.
In a further display of support for the people who make grassroots football possible, Sports Direct will be the presenting partner of the EDFL’s Volunteer of the Month award in the 2027 season, providing a $100 voucher for each winner during the season.
EDFL’s newest partner will also introduce an interactive bracket predictor challenge for the next season, giving fans the chance to predict the outcome of the league’s Finals Series and win a $500 voucher.
