The EDFL is proud to announce the 2026 Community Bank Strathmore Division One Team of the Year, as selected by the coaches!
Moonee Valley's Andrew Horne was selected by his peers as the coach of the side after an incredible rise up the ladder, while Lachlan Stredwick was selected as the captain.
Stredwick will start at full back alongside Ruairi Cleary (West Coburg) and Lachlan Grant (Moonee Valley).
Brandon Coletta (Taylors Lakes) will remain at centre half back despite donning new colours in 2026, as Bailey Williamson (Avondale Heights) again starts alongside him on one flank, with Oak Park's Max Gleeson on the other.
It's an all-Craigieburn centre line with Brodie White unanimously voted into this side as the starting centre, and young guns Hayden Polley and Harry Albon starting on the wings.
Oak Park teammates Adam Del Busso and Kane O'Halloran start at centre half forward and full forward respectively, while Muhammad Saad (West Coburg) and Danny Younan (Taylors Lakes) start on the half forward flanks.
Mitch Clarke caps off a fine first season at Moonee Valley starting in the forward pocket, with Ibby Taha in the other pocket as the only other player unanimously voted in the side.
Lachlan Rayner retains his position in the ruck and will have White, Jackson Cardillo (Rupertswood), and Callum Clinnick (Moonee Valley) with him in the engine room.
Starting on the interchange is Jai Robinson (Craigieburn), Dinny Cleary (West Coburg), Jake Galea (St Albans), and Zak Wunhym (Tullamarine).
All EDFL Teams of the Year are compiled based solely on the input of each club’s senior coach.
The 2026 Community Bank Strathmore Division One Team of the Year was to recognise the best players of the 2026 home-and-away season.
Other factors such as reputation or form in previous seasons were not to be taken into account.
The Coach and Captain of the Year are determined based on the feedback provided by the senior coaches.
