2024 EDFL November Player Transfer News

Ins and outs!


The 2024 November player transfer window is officially open.

Clubs wasted no time announcing a smattering of new recruits since the end of the season and can now secure those signings.

While a lot of transfers will be for players clubs have already announced, we'll keep you updated on the latest key transfer news below.

November 21

Marby premiership captain Matt Gaul is seeking a move north to play for Noosa.


November 20

There was plenty of Division Two activity on Wednesday with Westmeadows, Rupertswood, and Coburg Districts moving to secure off-season recruits.

Josh Iacobaccio has become the latest Panther to transfer out of Raeburn Reserve, with the Team of the Year representative set to return to West Preston-Lakeside.


November 19

Hillside has lodged its first men's transfers with back-to-back Mark Thompson Medallist (U18.5 Premier B&F) Khalil Kaakour the headliner.

James McNaughton, Milad Almatrah, and Gabe Cristiano are others who head to Shark Park with Premier Division experience.


November 18

After a successful first season back in Division One, Oak Park has made some noise on the transfer front looking to bring in some top-end talent to JP Fawkner Reserve.

Pascoe Vale captain and Team of the Year defender Lachy Stredwick is looking for a new start and would be a huge pick up if the transfer is approved.

Aberfeldie ruck and 21-time VFL representative Josh Hotchkin has had paperwork lodged for a transfer back to Oak Park having played 54 games there as a junior.

Adam Del Busso is another key position player looking to don the blue and white after taking a year off, while Michael Dalrymple is another heading home.

Following its best season in the women's competition, Hillside is looking to add Greenvale's Nicolette Paschalis to its list, joining former Jets teammate Chanel Caruso.

Roxburgh Park's Harley Short has had a transfer to Wallan declined.


November 16

New Moonee Valley coach Andrew Horne was the only senior transfer made on Saturday.

The veteran played four games for PEGS in 2024 and last featured in the EDFL for Strathmore in 2021.


November 15

Greenvale has made some strong moves in their bid for another finals campaign in 2025 bringing in ex-Tiger Will Martyn when not on VFL duties with Port Melbourne.

He joins the the returning Patrick Baccari and young guns with pathways and representative experience Zain Yamak, Kieran Gallagher, and Reuben Rode.

The East Keilor player turnover continues with a suite of players heading to Caroline Springs, including 2024 captain Ben Caluzzi.


November 14

Craigieburn has entered the transfer period as it looks to push its case to play finals footy in 2025, luring NFNL star Luke Collins as a playing assistant coach.

His transfer should go through following his NTFL commitments and will come alongside fellow NFNL regular Jai Robinson.

Meanwhile, Dom Micallef and Dayne Middleton are set to return to the club after playing regular senior footy elsewhere.

There's more activity at Ormond Park with Luca Papsis and Zayas Leonedas looking to return to Moonee Valley after senior stints at Avondale Heights.

Lachie Smart and Tim Quick have had paperwork re-lodged after initially being declined by East Keilor.

Tullamarine and Zack Carey are looking secure their off-season signings with another Mores player, key defender Lachlan Currie.

Currie couldn't crack in to the senior side in 2024 but has featured at the top level 63 times.


November 13

Moonee Valley has made its first transfers of November, lodging paperwork for Strathmore pair Callum Clinnick and Alessi Leggieri.

Clinnick played consistent senior footy in 2024 after winning the EDFL Reserves Premier Division Best and Fairest in 2023, while Leggieri is coming off a 39-goal season in the Mores' Reserves.

Elsewhere, star St Albans ruck Ade Akintola is set to depart Kings Park and head to PEGS for 2025.


November 12

Coburg Districts premiership players Cheryle Arden and Amy Ronchi on the way out of Cole Reserve looking to had to Epping.

Sunbury Kangaroos, meanwhile, saw a suite of players moving in and out of the pouch.


November 11

Former Tiger and Blue Callum Moore is heading home to Aberfeldie after four seasons with Wangaratta post-AFL.

Moore played 63 games and kicked 223 goals in that time and will be a welcome addition in 2025.

Jack Mapleson is also returning to Aberfeldie, while Lachlan Riley comes across as a new recruit after 58 games with Swan Districts.

West Coburg will be without Omar and Muhammad Saad in 2025 with the pair heading to Newport.


November 10

Sunday was trading day for East Keilor which is going through a complete rebuild under new coach Justin Sherman.

Local footy legend Justin van Unen is a key name among the lot after notching 1,000 career goals in 2024.

Avondale Heights' Tom Gleeson is another who has not been announced by the club as yet and is looking to remain in the top flight with the Cougars.

Elsewhere, Sam Hayes has had his transfer re-lodged to Strathmore and is currently pending.


November 9

There was movement on the women's front on Saturday with Strathmore lodging transfers to bring talented trio Amy Trindade, Yasmin Welsford, and Amelia Marino back to the club.

Greenvale's Zoe Hardiman is seeking a move to Romsey after the Team of the Year representative took the 2024 season off footy.


November 8

Deer Park continues to bolster its list for a second season in the top flight, lodging transfers for Lin Jong and other new recruits, as well as returning players Lachie Smart, Tim Quick, and Mark Galea.

East Keilor has denied Smart and Quick's transfers, with Jong's also declined but expected to be approved when re-lodged.

Glenroy also got busy on Friday night moving to secure their off-season recruits, Pascoe Vale's Julian Hemala the headliner.

Aberfeldie has made its first moves of the transfer period with reigning Northern Bullants Club Champion Jean-Luc Velissaris re-aligning with his junior club.

Jhett Gaskett is also seeking a move to Clifton Park after winning the EDFL Reserves Premier Division Best and Fairest with Keilor, while defender Logan Prout looks to align with Abers when not on VFL duties with Carlton.


November 7

After unsuccessfully getting back to Leo Dineen Reserve before transfers closed mid-season, Shaun McKernan has had paperwork lodged to play for Tullamarine after not featuring for Strathmore in 2024.

Keilor's Darcy Cassar has had a transfer lodged to move over to Newport in the WFNL.

Cassar featured in the 2023 premiership and played 17 senior games in 2024, before making way for Riley Ham in the grand final.


November 6

Bronte Campbell (Horsham) joins Maribyrnong Park premiership teammate Darcy Griffin (Barwon Heads) as outgoing players.


November 4

Strathmore look to bring more players in with Thomas Schwarzenberg returning to the EDFL after some strong seasons with Diggers Rest, and Mitchell McLean from Heathcote.

East Keilor pair Andrew Tashevski-Beckwith and Joe Palazzolo head north to Reservoir after a few seasons at Overland Reserve.


November 3

The major move on an expectedly quiet day is 2016 Hutchison Medallist Victor Micallef heading to Wallan in the RDFNL with former Hillside teammate Jeremy Hayes.


November 2

Westmeadows wasted no time looking to secure off-season acquisitions, a number of whom are returning players like Mitch Church and Michael Portelli.

Taylors Lakes have also started to secure players across its men's and women's programs.

Marc Lock is the headliner as he returns to the EDFL to help the Lions' return to Division One.


November 1

Strathmore remained tight-lipped on 2024 recruits Trent Dumont, Shaun McKernan, and Harry Jones and seem to be following the same method again.

Sam Hayes, a former Port Adelaide ruck and teammate of Dumont, had paperwork lodged for his transfer which was knocked back by his 2024 club, but it should be expected to go through if re-lodged.

Keilor junior and Western Jets representative Aidan Hobson looks to be switching Premier Division clubs, also having a transfer lodged to the Mores.

Tullamarine has been active to start the November player transfer period, lodging transfers for a number of new signings led by Ben Weightman, Adam Figliola, and Nick Owens.

It'll be a new era for the Dees with fresh personnel following Dave Connell's departure, with Stephen McCallum, Michael Sikora, and Matthew O'Dwyer three that have had outgoing transfers lodged.

Although no transfer has been lodged yet, the club also announced today the exciting return of Shaun McKernan.

St Albans has also moved to secure off-season recruits with Nathan Carroll returning to the EDFL following his 113-goal season in the WFNL.

Patrick Taban returns to the club, with Pascoe Vale young gun Mua Tavo and East Keilor's Leon Bektash also among the lodged transfers.

Sunbury Kangaroos, meanwhile, have had its young talent raided by new senior program Gisborne Giants.

Deer Park have also moved to secure East Keilor pair Dion Hill and Zen Christofi as already announced signings and will remain an interesting watch following their signing of Lin Jong (no transfer as yet).

Notable outgoing transfers: Matthew Watson (St Bernards), Bruno Laguda (Parkside), Stephen McCallum (Laurimar), Matthew O'Dwyer (Elmore), Blake Tirchett (Gisborne Giants), Harry Fry (Talbot), Michael Sikora (Talbot).
