2019 RECAP
Things could have gone belly up for Taylors Lakes after Sam Tankard departed as coach during the 2019 pre-season, but new coach Charles Cuzzupi quickly re-established some stability.
Four victories were enough to avoid relegation by season's end, with the Lions showing plenty of heart in close wins over Hillside and Roxburgh Park.
However, Lakes struggled against the top four, losing all eight contests against last year's finalists by an average margin of 11 goals.

EDFL MEDIA SAYS
The lengthy list of outgoing transfers features quite a few of Taylors Lakes' better performers from 2019, but the incoming list does have some very good names on it as well.
Star forward Patrick Rose leads that list of known commodities coming into Lionheart Reserve alongside fellow former Avondale Heights man Scott Harding, Nathan Kennedy and Aaron Di Matteo.
The experience of that quartet in particular will prove vital if the Lions want to advance up the ladder in Season 2021 following the departure of all but one of their 2019 top five best-and-fairest vote-getters.
