2020 Season Preview Series - Aberfeldie

#EDFL2020

2019 RECAP

Aberfeldie scored an impressive 16 wins from 18 starts in the home-and-away season but it was only good enough for a second-placed finish after Keilor went 18-0.

The Gorillas did again reach the grand final for the seventh consecutive year, but they struggled to recover from a slow start in the decider and eventually went down by eight points.

Keilor was the only opponent Aberfeldie could not defeat across four meetings in 2019.

EDFL MEDIA SAYS

Aberfeldie's list needed to undergo some re-generation after waving goodbye to a handful of best 22 mainstays over the summer.

Most importantly, the ruck void left behind by Jorden Braddy was the first to be filled, with star VFL big man Nick Meese making the move to Clifton Park to re-connect with former Williamstown assistant and current Aberfeldie coach, Adam Potter.

Another former Seagull in Peter Faulks will be another quality addition, while former Sydney Swan, Toby Pink, topped off what was an impressive recruiting haul which should see Aberfeldie well and truly in premiership contention once more.
