MANOR LAKES v SUNBURY LIONS

IT will be a crucial Prelim at Dempster Park, with both sides desperate to play in the inaugural Senior Women’s Grand Final against Keilor next weekend.
Sunbury’s season got off to a flyer, having the second-longest undefeated streak, only behind Keilor.
But it was the Blues, and the Storm, who dismantled their perfect record.
The Lions fought back in the second half of the season, and played a gallant game against Caroline Springs in last week’s Elimination Final.
Natalie East, Simone Craige and Brooke Surgeon, among many of their experienced stars, will be vital to the Lions’ chances of a win.
But the Storm have a sensational amount of fire power, and would certainly be motivated after one of the bravest efforts we’ve seen all season against Keilor last week.
Their forward line is lethal, and will need to be on song against a solid defensive unit in Sunbury.
Yana Frontczak and Lindsay Newton have been standouts all season for Manor Lakes, and are sure to feature amongst the goals on Sunday.
It will be hard to stop them on a familiar deck at Sunshine, and Sunbury will need to leave everything out on the field if they’re to meet Keilor in the big one at Section Road next week.
