KEILOR v MANOR LAKES – Qualifying Final

2:20pm @ Burnside Heights (Oval 1)

THESE two sides have now faced off twice in the home-and-away season, with the most recent match being played in Round 14.

Here they play off for a spot in the Grand Final.

Keilor have been the big winners on both occasions, never giving Manor Lakes any chance to get into the game.

But don’t write off the Storm, as they would be keen to make amends for two disappointing games against the Blues.

Once Manor Lakes get going, they are very hard to stop, as they’ve recorded a series of dominating wins over 100 points throughout the season.

Yana Frontczak is a star in the forward line and has been a solid performer throughout the year.

But Kellee McIntosh is the one who can really cause some damage on the scoreboard, with her innate ability to kick away throughout the match.

Keilor too have an array of stars in the forward line.

Brooke Todero is a ball magnet in the attacking 50, with great hands and a wonderful kicking style, which often lands her at the top of the goal-scoring list.

Her partner-in-crime, Tanay Barbuto, is also a player to watch out for, with her speed and footy smarts in the forward half.

Not enough can be said of Keilor’s Wright sisters, who have been among the best in nearly every game they’ve played in the red, white and blue.

Expect both Sarah and Gemma to be among the best-on-ground votes again in what should be another win for the dominant Keilor outfit.

SUNBURY LIONS v CAROLINE SPRINGS – Elimination Final

2:20pm @ Burnside Heights (Oval 1)

Sunbury was undefeated for the majority of the season, and only made a blunder in two tough weeks against ladder leaders, Keilor and Manor Lakes.

Simone Craige has been potent in the midfield for the Lions all season, and can go up forward and make an impact when needed.

She is a versatile player that can step up in any contest.

Craige will need to play a big game to combat Caroline Springs’ impressive duo, Krystyn Raymundo and Carissa Whiley.

The synergy between the two players have earned the Lakers many hard-fought wins to take them into finals.

While they cling onto fourth spot, the Lakers certainly aren’t a write-off in this match.

Both sides share a similar game-style that isn’t highly attacking, but what sets the sides apart is experience versus youth.

Sunbury have an array of experience with players like Natalie East and Brooke Surgeon providing great on-field leadership for the Lions.

Expect this game to have a different theme to Keilor v Manor Lakes, as a defensive slug-out could be the headline following the match.
