The 2025 season is just around the corner so EDFL Media will be previewing each club heading into Round One. Next, we chat to Avondale Heights coach Andrew Kahofer who provides some insights on their 2025 campaign.
2024: 10th (1W, 17L, 50.02%)
Coach: Andrew Kahofer
PRE-SEASON FOCUS
"The biggest focus has been learning the game style, fitness, and education for the entire group."
LIST SHAPE
"Our list is solid, contrary to what has been published, but we have addressed clear gaps that were identified and worked to fill those accordingly."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
"We are a young group, so it's hard to call out just one or two players. I can see the development coming over the season as we grow into our style and put games into these players."
CLUB INITIATIVES & ACTIVITIES
"Our mantra is ONE CLUB, ONE VOICE."
2025 OUTLOOK
"We aim to improve week on week, and as the cliche goes do just that and continue to grow as a group."

EDFL MEDIA SAYS
Avondale Heights will be in Division One for the first time in over 20 years after a lean period in the top flight, and will be keen to restore some success at Canning Reserve. It's hard to know where the Heights will fit in the division with a number of senior departures, majority of their recruits new to the league, and their social media keeping a low profile. Points will be an issue with some of their new recruits who come across with senior experience, but the Heights have managed to keep enough talent with Premier Division experience to suggest they could be in the finals mix.
Ladder Prediction: Mid-table, finals fight.
