The EDFL is proud to announce the 2025 Airport Toyota Premier Division Team of the Year, as selected by the coaches!
The top four unsurprisingly dominate the side with 19 of the 22 selections, with all but one club represented.
Olivia Madden stepped up to the captaincy role early in the season for Aberfeldie and was recognised by the coaches as the captain of this side, with Oak Park co-coaches Lessey Hodgkinson and Nic Cook also to lead the side.
Madden will start in the engine room with Abers teammate Amelia Wright the starting ruck, tapping it down to Madden, Annalise Wilkie (Hillside), and Camryn Bux (Essendon Doutta Stars).
Emily Findlay (Oak Park) will retain her spot on the wing, with Keilor's Tegan Matthews named on the other wing.
Oak Park teammates Rhianna Nunn and Mikayla Barnes will fill the full back slots, with plenty of dash off half back from Harmony Mitsos (Essendon Doutta Stars), Yara Taylor (Hillside), and Terira Fry (Greenvale).
The forward line is stacked with Emily Smith (Aberfeldie) and Emily Paterno (Hillside) lining up either side of Nadia Valenti (Moonee Valley) on the half forward line.
Moana Hope (Aberfeldie) unsurprisingly fills one of the full forward slots after a record-breaking season, with Adalita Pizzinga (Essendon Doutta Stars) alongside her.
Starting on the bench is Harriet Cashmore (Aberfeldie), Leah Spargo (Oak Park), Hannah Ibrahim (Hillside), Felicity Theodore (Oak Park), Caitlin Sargent (Hillside), and Maggie Styles (Oak Park).

SELECTION PROCESS & CRITERIA
All EDFL Teams of the Year are compiled based solely on the input of each club’s senior coach.
The 2025 Airport Toyota Premier Division Team of the Year was to recognise the best players of the 2025 home-and-away season.
Other factors such as reputation or form in previous seasons were not to be taken into account.
The coach and captain are determined based on the feedback provided by the senior coaches.
