The 2024 season is just around the corner so EDFL Media will be previewing each club heading into Round One. Next, we chat to new Hillside coach Blaise Ferraro who provides some insights on their 2024 campaign.

PRE-SEASON FOCUS
"We've mostly been looking to get closer as a group with a lot of changes from last season, along with setting and holding ourselves to unwavering standards."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
"Our captain Hannah Ibrahim has been firing on all cylinders along with the Wilkie sisters who have had a big pre-seasons.
"One of our new recruits Emma Picone is one that won’t be flying under the radar for much longer."
2024 OUTLOOK
"Our goals are mostly to build the presence of the Senior Women’s program on and off the field which has already started with huge support from our committee.
"This is already bearing fruit which is great to see, especially with our reserves team up and running as well."

EDFL MEDIA SAYS
It's been a lean couple of seasons after a strong showing in the shortened 2021 season for the Sharks, but under new coach Blaise Ferraro and with a swathe of new recruits, they'll be optimistic they can push their way back up the ladder. They'll have local rivals Keilor first up with recruits from either side facing their old side.
