2024 EDFL Senior Finals Series Venues & Dates Confirmed

Senior Finals Venues & Dates


The EDFL has locked in all venues and dates for each game of the 2024 Senior Finals Series.

Finals footy will kick off in the senior competitions on August 3 when Airport Toyota Women's Division One and Two commence their path to glory, and will continue on until the Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division decider on September 21 as the EDFL season wraps up at Windy Hill.

See a breakdown of each division with dates and venues below.


STRATHMORE COMMUNITY BANK PREMIER DIVISION

Qualifying Final (2 v 3) - Saturday, August 31 at Greenvale Recreation Reserve (Will be adjusted if Greenvale feature in any of the three games)
Elimination Final (4 v 5) - Sunday, September 1 at Coburg City Oval
Semi Final 2 (1 v Qualifying Winner) - Saturday, September 7 at Coburg City Oval
Semi Final 1 (Qualifying Loser v Elimination Winner) - Sunday, September 8 at Coburg City Oval
Preliminary Final - Sunday, September 15 at Coburg City Oval
Grand Final - Saturday, September 21 at Windy Hill

An extra week of top-flight action will replace the 2023 pre-finals bye with five sides playing off in the SCB Premier Division finals series.

Premier Division finals footy will return to Section Road with the Qualifying Final currently scheduled there pending final placements, with Coburg City Oval hosting the Elimination Final the next day.

The winner of that contest will stay at Coburg City Oval the following Sunday to play the loser of the qualifier, as the qualifier winner will face the top side for a spot in the decider the day prior.

Piranha Park will host the Preliminary Final on Sunday, September 15 as a standalone showcase, with this year's showpiece set to grace Windy Hill on Saturday, September 21.


AIRPORT TOYOTA WOMEN'S PREMIER DIVISION

Semi Finals - Saturday, August 10 at John McMahon Reserve & Lionheart Reserve
Preliminary Final - Saturday, August 17 at Lakeside Reserve
Grand Final - Saturday, August 24 at Windy Hill

Women's Premier Division competitions will be separate finals showcases for the first time this season with Seniors, Reserves, and AGA Under 18.5 Premier Division contests filling each day!

The action will kick off on August 10 before concluding on the hallowed turf of Windy Hill on August 24.


STRATHMORE COMMUNITY BANK DIVISION ONE

Qualifying Final (2 v 3) - Saturday, August 24 at Greenvale Recreation Reserve
Elimination Final (4 v 5) - Sunday, August 25 at Coburg City Oval
Semi Final 2 (1 v Qualifying Winner) - Saturday, August 31 at Joe Brown Oval
Semi Final 1 (Qualifying Loser v Elimination Winner) - Sunday, September 1 at Joe Brown Oval
Preliminary Final - Saturday, September 7 at Greenvale Recreation Reserve
Grand Final - Saturday, September 14 at Coburg City Oval

The SCB Division One finals series will again feature five sides and will kick off at Section Road on August 24 with the Qualifying Final.

Featuring the same structure as the 2023 season, Coburg City Oval will again host the Elimination Final with Joe Brown Oval set to host the following weekend.

Preliminary Final footy will head to Greenvale Recreation Reserve before the season concludes at Coburg City Oval for the decider on September 14 with Windy Hill hosting AFLW the following day.


AIRPORT TOYOTA WOMEN'S DIVISION ONE & TWO

Semi Finals - Saturday, August 3 at John McMahon Reserve & Lakeside Reserve
Preliminary Final - Saturday, August 10 at Buckley Park
Grand Finals - Saturday, August 17 at Coburg City Oval

Airport Toyota Women's Division One and Two finals action will follow AGA Under 18.5 Division One to make it three games comprising action-packed days.

The three-week finals series starts on August 3 with the Semi Finals, before wrapping up at Coburg City Oval on August 17.


STRATHMORE COMMUNITY BANK DIVISION TWO

Semi Final 2 (1 v 2) - Saturday, August 24 at Salesian College
Semi Final 1 (3 v 4) - Sunday, August 25 at Greenvale Recreation Reserve
Preliminary Final - Saturday, August 31 at Salesian College
Grand Final - Saturday, September 7 at Windy Hill

The SCB Division Two Grand Final returns to Windy Hill in 2024 with the decider set to remain on its own Saturday this September 7.

Salesian College will host the qualifier to kick off the action on August 24 as well as the Preliminary Final yet again the following week, with the Elimination Final heading to Section Road.


THIRDS DIVISION ONE & TWO

Semi Finals - Friday, August 9 at Hansen Reserve, Etzel St Reserve, Nipper Jordan Oval & Willowbrook Reserve
Preliminary Finals - Friday, August 16 at John McMahon Reserve & Nipper Jordan Oval
Grand Finals - Friday, August 23 at Sewell Reserve & Willowbrook Reserve

The Friday night competitions will feature multiple venues throughout the finals series following the introduction of the two-division structure.

August 9 will see four venues hosting a Semi Final, with two venues simultaneously hosting the Preliminary and Grand Finals the following weeks.
