2022 Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division Team Of The Year

Full 22 Revealed

The top four sides of the Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division season heavily dominate this year's Team of the Year.

18 selections from this year's finalists make the 22, with East Keilor, Maribyrnong Park and Essendon Doutta Stars also represented within the team.

Essendon Doutta Stars' Karl Brown takes the coveted spot at full forward, while East Keilor duo Chris Stewart and Nicholas Grabowski both make the bench alongside Maribyrnong Park's Scott Clarke.

After claiming the 2022 Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division flag, Strathmore are well represented with five selections throughout the team.

Reg Rose medallist and eight time team of the year member Adam Iacobucci lines up in the centre of the park with premiership teammate Will Jury named as rover.

They square up alongside last year's Reynolds Medallist in Nicholas Meese who has been named in the ruck and Aberfeldie vice-captain Samuel Cattapan is the team's ruck rover.

Keilor's Nicholas O'Kearney finds himself on the wing for the second consecutive year with Pascoe Vale's Ben Allen on the opposite side.

Up forward, the competition's leading goal kicker, Matthew Clark, has been named at centre half forward after the Keilor spearhead slotted him 66 goals in his 18 home-and-away outings.

Kyle O'Connor (Keilor) and Brad Inglis (Pascoe Vale) make the half forward flankers with Kyle Weightman (Strathmore) and Matthew Watson (Pascoe Vale) round out the front six.

In defence, Strathmore's Luke Jarrad finds his spot on the half back flank for a remarkable fifth straight season, while Aberfeldie captain Luke Davis notched up his fourth selection in the side after being named at full back.

Davis lines up along side team mate Daniel Thompson in the back pocket with Pascoe Vale pair Lachlan Stredwick and Matthew Stillman also picked down back.

Keilor's Bradley Xavier completes the back six at centre half back.

Xavier Allison is Strathmore's fifth represent in the team, rounding out the bench along side Stewart, Clarke and Grabowski.

The coach and captain of the Team of the Year will be announced at the EDFL Presentation Evening on September 21st.
