2022 Strathmore Community Bank Division Two Team Of The Year

Final 22 Revealed

After leading the pack in Strathmore Community Bank Division Two for season 2022, Keilor Park and Oak Park have dominated selection in this year's Team of the Year.

11 members from the Devils and Kangaroos have made the team after playing off in this year's grand final.

Keilor Park co-captains Daylan Kempster and Robbie Castello both feature up forward after Kempster claimed best on ground honours in the last game of the season.

They are joined by a trio of Kangaroos in Jedd Taylor, Blair Cronin and Daniel Rajab. The Division Two leading goal kicker, Mark Sabatino, slots into the forward pocket after the Hadfield goal sneak kicked 53 majors in the home-and-away season.

It's a diverse backline with five represented in the back six. Devils duo Cameron Harris and Vincent Schiavello hold spots in the back pocket and centre half back respectively.

Benjamin Pretty was a rock down back all season for Hadfield and was duly selected at full back, while Northern Saints player-coach Tamer Abdallah has been named on a halfback flank after superbly leading the Saints in his first season at the helm.

Nikolas Dimeski (Coburg Districts) and Liam Molloy (Oak Park) round out the rest of the back six.

Cooper Keogh returns as the Team of the Year ruck after another dominate year with Coburg Districts.

His followers are Damien Cavka (Keilor Park), Steve Golding (Hadfield) and Jordan Hughes (Burnside Heights).

Ryan Smith (Oak Park) and Spencer Aitken (Coburg Districts) make up the rest of the starting eighteen filling in the two wing spots.

On the bench there is plenty of Burnside Heights representation with Theodore Sapountzis, Anthony Fawcus and Liam Mercieca all making it on the pine alongside Bradley Cox (Oak Park).

The coach and captain of the Team of the Year will be announced at the EDFL Presentation Evening on September 21st.
