2021 Strathmore Community Bank Division One Team Of The Year

Full 22 Revealed

East Keilor's dominate year in Strathmore Community Bank Division One has seen eight Cougars recognised in the Team of the Year.

The ladder leaders only dropped one game in the 12-round season with stars on every line of the field.

Tim Bongetti was recognised as the captain of the team lining up at centre half forward alongside the ever-dangerous Josh Grabowksi on the half forward flank.

Division One leading goal kicker, Dion Hill, rightfully found his spot at full forward with the spearhead returning 56 goals from 12 games.

Through the midfield Victor Micallef was selected in the Team of the Year for the fifth time in six seasons after missing out on the squad in 2019 as a Shark.

Chris Stewart's debut year as a Cougar saw the big man selected in the ruck, while the half-back line consisted of a trio of Cougars with Marc Lock, Brandon Coletta and Heath Shaw all getting the nod down back.

For second-placed Tullamarine, a starting midfield of Anthony Prestia and Anthony Liberatore saw the Demons well represented in the middle of the park.

Fellow Tulla mid Steve Vocale is on the bench and goal sneak Cooper Perry found his way into a forward pocket.

In the opposite pocket is West Coburg's Lynden Dunn while Hillside young gun Bailey Ryan rounds out the rest of the forward line.

There's plenty of experience down back with stalwarts Dane Lucas, Clayton Rogers and Daniel Gregory all on the last line of defence.

Jack Elliot is the sole representative from Roxburgh Park, making the Division One team for the first time.

Pat Christofi will step down from his senior coaching position as the reigning Division One Coach of the Year.
