The traditional Good Friday showdown between Keilor and Strathmore will kick-start a bumper opening round in Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division, with all five games featuring competitive match-ups across the board.

The Blues are set to unfurl their 2019 flag with returning gun ruckman Andrew Browne back in blue, red and white on April 2, while Strathmore will be hoping to start its 2021 campaign with a statement win on the road.

The remaining four Round 1 games will be played on April 10, with Greenvale hosting Aberfeldie at Section Road in the headline act.

Elsewhere, Craigieburn's first game back up in Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division will be at home to 2015 Grand Final rival, Essendon Doutta Stars, Glenroy will host Maribyrnong Park and Avondale Heights takes on Pascoe Vale.

Aberfeldie's Round 1 and Round 10 games against Greenvale have been flipped due ground works taking place at Clifton Park, giving Greenvale the home game in Round 1.

The unavailability of Clifton Park also means Aberfeldie's Round 3 home game against Avondale Heights will be played at an alternate venue, to be confirmed at a later date.

Aberfeldie's first home game at Clifton Park will be in Round 6 against Craigieburn.

ANZAC Day football will again feature in next year's draw, with Glenroy hosting Strathmore at Sewell Reserve in Round 3 on Sunday April 25.

Rounds 9 and 14 are split rounds, with Strathmore's home game against Aberfeldie to be played at Windy Hill during the Queen's Birthday weekend on Saturday June 12.

The Preliminary Final re-match from 2019 is the only senior game scheduled across any division for June 12.

The 2021 Finals Series will kick off on the weekend of August 28 and the Grand Final will be played on Saturday, September 11 at Windy Hill.

Hillside and Taylors Lakes are set to renew hostilities at Shark Park on Good Friday in what looks like a cracking season-opener for the newly-named Strathmore Community Bank Division 1 competition.

The remaining four games in Round 1 slated for April 10 include Rupertswood's EDFL debut at home to Airport West, Tullamarine hosting Lynden Dunn and West Coburg, Westmeadows taking on a new-look East Keilor line-up and Roxburgh Park hosting the newly-promoted Sunbury Kangaroos.

Rupertswood will play its first two games in the EDFL at home before facing the Sunbury Kangaroos in a huge local derby under lights at Eric Boardman Reserve in Round 3.

The following day, Westmeadows will also play under lights against Airport West in a highly-anticipated twilight ANZAC Day fixture at Willowbrook Reserve.

Additionally, both meetings between Hillside and the Sunbury Kangaroos will be played as twilight games from 5pm in Rounds 6 and 15 respectively.

Seven of West Coburg's home games will be played at the club's traditional home of Shore Reserve, with the final two games against Rupertswood and East Keilor currently scheduled for Coburg City Oval, pending availability due to ongoing ground works and VFL fixturing.

The draw does not feature any split rounds, with all 10 teams having a week off during the Queen's Birthday weekend in mid-June.

The Finals will commence on the weekend of August 21, with the Grand Final to be played on Saturday September 4 at Windy Hill.

Twilight and night football is a key feature of the Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 fixture, with four games to be played under lights throughout the season.

Two of those games will take place in Round 1, featuring three 2019 finalists across Good Friday (April 2) and April 10.

Keilor Park hosts Coburg Districts in a 5pm fixture on Good Friday in what is hoped will become a new annual tradition to kick off the new season.

Eight days later Burnside Heights will host Moonee Valley at 6pm in a re-match of the 2019 Preliminary Final.

Burnside Heights will play three games under lights in total, with away games against East Sunbury in Round 4 and a Friday night clash against Keilor Park in Round 18 both scheduled for a 7pm start time.

Elsewhere, Jacana will mark its return to senior footy with a home game against Oak Park in Round 1, while Hadfield will host East Sunbury at Martin Reserve in what looks to be an even match-up on paper.

The Northern Saints have an extra week to prepare for the new season after being given the Round 1 bye.

Their first game under new coach Peter Lohner will be at home to local rival Hadfield in Round 2.

Finals will kick off on the weekend of August 21 and the Grand Final is slated for Sunday September 5 at Windy Hill.
