2021 Airport Toyota Women's Division Two Team of the Year

Full 24 Revealed

The inaugural Airport Toyota Women's Division Two Team of the Year has been announced.

All six clubs from the 2021 season are represented in the final team of 24, with ladder toppers Moonee Valley leading selection with seven players.

Georgia Marsland's outstanding season saw her recognised as one of the division's premier midfielders, kicking 24 goals along the way.

Marsland is one of four players who make the team from the 2019 Team of the Year series with Sophie Freeman named in the 2019 Premier Division Team of the Year and Shelby Best and Abbey Lord named alongside Marsland in the 2019 Division One Team of the Year.

Moonee Valley teammates Isabella Theodosis and Amy Hoang fill both wing positions making it an all Fog centreline.

Prolific forward Charlotte Clayton was named at full forward after her 40 goals from eight games saw her take home the division's leading goal kicker title.

Other noted goal kickers, Kate Sellers and Abigail Marsland were also named in the forward line.

Bianca Hendricks' role leading an emerging Coburg Districts side was recognised by the coaches and was appropriately named captain of the team.

Hendricks was named at centre half back in a back six made up of Elisha Green, Maree Musarra, Erin Dobrautz, Nicole Porter and Miranda Bulman.

And despite winning just the one game, Burnside Heights managed a sole selection with Chloe Larkin deemed the best ruck in the division.

Harmoni Chivell and Katherine MacCubbin fill the on ball positions alongside Larkin.

Dean Rioli was named as the Coach of the Year by his peers.
