2020 Season Preview Series - Strathmore

#EDFL2020

2019 RECAP

Outside of the league's two major powerhouses, Keilor and Aberfeldie, Strathmore did well to re-affirm itself as the 'best of the rest' in 2019.

A 12-6 home-and-away record assured the Mores their second consecutive finals berth and after dismantling Pascoe Vale in a low-scoring knock-out semi, Strathmore again made the Preliminary Final.

In a see-sawing affair that mirrored the previous year's epic prelim between the Mores and Keilor, Strathmore again fell agonisingly short of victory, going down to Aberfeldie by just three points at Windy Hill to end what was an otherwise wonderful and promising 2019 season.

EDFL MEDIA SAYS

Strathmore boasts a list demographic that would be the envy of many of its division rivals.

While the likes of young forward Athan Tsialtas will play some VFL footy this year, almost every player that featured in at least two senior games last season is still on Strathmore's list and over the summer, the Mores added some key experience in James Sullivan, Tom Denning and Tierone Cuffe, among others.

After two consecutive prelim final appearances, you can't help but feel the time is now for Strathmore to strike and look to topple Keilor and Aberfeldie in pursuit of this year's flag.
