Youngster Brne Best Of Thunder In 2017

Brne, an 18-year-old in only his second year of senior footy, stormed away from team mates Tom Cree and Lucas Shaw to win the club's best-and-fairest count by 45 votes.

As East Sunbury again pushed most of Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 throughout Season 2017, Brne was able to cement his spot in the senior best 22 and regularly appeared in the bests column each week (11 times total).

In fact he was the only Thunder player to be named in the bests more than eight times.
