Georgia Marsland To Play Game 200

Well done Georgia!

The EDFL wishes to congratulate former umpire and EDFL employee Georgia Marsland on playing game 200 this weekend.

Georgia will not only bring up an extraordinary milestone this weekend, but she'll run out with her three sisters Olivia, Abigail, and Brooke, marking a historic milestone, emblematic of dedication, talent, and familial unity!

She'll bring up the milestone at Ormond Park this Saturday in the Moonee Valley Women's Reserves side.

Georgia first commenced her career in 2011 at West Coburg playing in the boy's team before moving across to Pascoe Vale to play Under 18s when she aged out.

She'd stay there until the end of 2018 – representing Calder Cannons during this time – before moving to Moonee Valley in 2019 to join her sisters and her Dad who was assistant coach for the girl's team.

Georgia was listed on the Bulldogs' VFLW list in 2020 and 2021, and since 2021, Georgia has moved back and forth each season between Darwin playing for Saint Mary's and Moonee Valley.

"Her commendable efforts not only break barriers but also pave the way for future generations of female athletes," Moonee Valley FC said.

"Here's to their exceptional camaraderie, the invaluable support of the Marsland family at the Moonee Valley Football Club, and the enduring love for the beautiful game of football."
