It was the Stars who opened the contest fast with an early goal from Ada Pizzinga, before the Mores hit the board following a long bomb goal from Milla Murphy.
Both sides played hard and fast in the contest, with neither outfit able to get a firm grip on the game early.

Some of the best in the sash were Sarah McKinnon, who stood out with fast runs and two impressive goals, Talia Motta, who owned a lot of the play with a major to boast, and Eloise Egglestone, who wrote her name on the Sherrin time and time again, across the field.
Strathmore unleashed a wildcard in Zoe Davies who marked her football debut in fine fashion. The former Suncorp Super Netball star for the Melbourne Mavericks played courageously with impactful smothers, dominance in the ruck, and picking up possession after possession.
To top it off, we saw two of Strathmore’s own hit the scoreboard to be accompanied by fine celebrations, with Yasmine Guzel’s first major in 2026 after six weeks of going scoreless. Kodi Jacques sunk her first EDFL goal in her debut game after the full-time siren.
