KEILOR 17.13 (115) def. by ABERFELDIE 17.17 (119)
MATCH CENTRE

Aberfeldie haw come out on top in another nailbiter, defeating Keilor by four points at Joe Brown Oval.

Saturday’s victory is the Rillas first win against Keilor since 2022 and second victory by under a goal for the year after last week’s five-point win over Deer Park.

The loss leaves last year’s minor premiers 0-2 to start the season and have now lost four of their last five matches, dating back to last year’s semi-final.

Abers coach Leigh Tudor was happy with his side’s transition game and their ability to fight hard right until the end'.

An even first quarter saw Keilor ahead by four points before its lead was extended to 14 points thanks to their pinpoint accuracy in front of goal.

Their lead vanished in the third quarter with a four-goal-to-one quarter to the visitors putting them ahead by three points heading into the final term.

Five of the first seven final quarter goals to Keilor looked like they had the game iced before the tables turned.

Matt Weber goaled at the 24-minute mark before Ben Ronke marked and goaled at the top of the goal square to reduce the margin to two points with just a minute to play

Abers won the next centre clearance and Ben Parker found the ball in his hands before lacing out Will Brkic on the lead.

With the seconds ticking down, the sharpshooter’s set shot sailed through and put Abers in front in the dying moments.

The ball went back to middle just before the siren sounded and Aberfeldie had claimed a famous victory.

Sam Medland and Ronke did the damage up forward kicking four goals each while Hamish Gilmore and Gus Papal were both excellent.

For Keilor, Tom McGuane starred for the second week in a row, while Cody Brand and Kyle O’Connor were back to their best and combined for nine goals.

Abers will be looking to go 3-0 when they take on Airport West at Clifton Park in the annual Anzac Day clash, while Keilor will host Pascoe Vale.

DEER PARK 12.10 (82) def. HILLSIDE 10.10 (70)
MATCH CENTRE

Deer Park has claimed its first four points for 2026, defeating Hillside by 12 points at John McLeod Reserve.

Saturday’s victory makes up for last weekend’s heartbreaking loss to Aberfeldie and has the side sitting at 1-1 after two games.

Despite being gallant once again, Hillside remains searching for its first win in Premier Division.

The home side got off to the fast start booting four first-quarter goals, however their lead was slashed to just four points at the first break.

The side’s went goal for goal to begin the third quarter, however the Lions still had their noses in front by 10 points at the final change.

The game looked dead and buried after two quick Deer Park goals, however Hillside rallied halfway through the last and hit the front 23 minutes into the final term.

Jamie Madigan’s side steadied themselves late in the final quarter with the final two goals and ran away with the victory.

Jackson Barling was excellent once again kicking another four goals while Kwame McHarg was back to his brilliant best on return with 33 disposals and seven clearances.

Nick Fluke was dominant for Hillside for the second week running collecting 29 disposals and 10 marks, while Gabe Cristiano booted three goals.

The injury woes for Deer Park continue to stack up, so the Lions will be pleased they were able to hold on.

Deer Park will be looking to test themselves when they face off with Strathmore at Lebanon Reserve, while Hillside will meet with Greenvale at Shark Park.

ESSENDON DOUTTA STARS 8.10 (58) def. by STRATHMORE 12.12 (84)
MATCH CENTRE

Strathmore has continued on its winning ways, defeating Essendon Doutta Stars by 26 points at Nipper Jordan Oval.

The loss leaves Douttas winless after their opening two games, while Strathmore remain undefeated and sitting in second spot on the ladder.

Coach Matthew Horne said he was “pleased with grinding out a win against a team who were really good in the contest” and thought they took their moments well when they presented.

Strathmore was in front for most of the first half taking a six-point lead into quarter time, and a 14-point lead into half time.

Their lead was extended to 17 points at the final change before kicking four final-quarter goals which was enough to run away with the victory.

Matthew Allison and Alex Tonelli were both excellent in front of goal kicking three majors each, while Kade Mueller was terrific in the victory.

Despite going down, Dylan Laurie was very good while Dec Willmore and Dalton Comito fought hard all day.

Douttas will be looking to bounce back when they meet with Maribyrnong Park at Monk Oval, while Strathmore will host Deer Park.

PASCOE VALE 17.16 (118) def. GREENVALE 14.7 (91)
MATCH CENTRE

Pascoe Vale consolidated its spot on top of the ladder following a 27-point win over Greenvale at Raeburn Reserve.

Saturday’s win leaves the Panthers with two wins from the opening two games and a percentage of 153.

Meanwhile after another strong performance to begin the year, Greenvale are still without a win for 2026.

Daniel Harris’ side opened up a 15-point quarter time lead and maintained that for most of the next two quarters.

The game looked to be slipping from the Jets grasp late in the third quarter when Pascoe Vale got out to a 30-point lead.

Greenvale got within touching distance at the start of the final quarter after kicking the first four goals, however Pascoe Vale rallied and kicked six of the next seven to come away with the win.

Tyson Scoble was unstoppable kicking five goals from his 20 disposals, while Dante Colosimo and Aaron Hilton were both very good.

Riley Leedham picked up from where he left off in 2025 kicking another five goals, while Liam Podhajski and Will Martyn put in strong performances.

Pascoe Vale will be hoping to continue its unbeaten run when it takes on Keilor at Joe Brown Oval, while Greenvale will take on Hillside at Shark Park.

MARIBYRNONG PARK 15.9 (99) def. AIRPORT WEST 8.12 (60)
MATCH CENTRE

Maribyrnong Park has started the year with back-to-back wins after defeating Airport West by 39 points under lights at Monk Oval.

Saturday’s win backs up the pre-season hype surrounding Marby who are currently one of the four undefeated sides.

Despite having patches of dominance, Airport West were found wanting in the second half and couldn’t claim another come-from-behind victory over the Lions.

Coach Brodie Holland was happy with his side’s pressure around the ball in the second, recording a high tackle count against a quality opposition.

Airport West skipped out to an 11-point quarter time lead before Marby clawed their way back in the second quarter and trailed by just a goal at half time.

The home side dominated the third quarter, kicking five goals to Airport West’s four points to almost put the game to bed.

Two quick goals in the final term meant the Eagles couldn’t stage another spirited fight back and Marby ran away with a comfortable victory.

Scott Clarke claimed the Doutta Galla Hotel player of the match award after kicking three goals, while Rory Atkins was everywhere, finishing with 26 disposals and a goal.

Josh Buchanan had one of his best games after amassing 22 disposals and 11 marks while defending Brandon Ryan, while Ned Gentile led from the front with two goals.

Marby will be hoping to make it three in a row when they take on Douttas at home, while Airport West will meet with Aberfeldie in the annual Anzac Day clash.

CAROLINE SPRINGS 4.5 (29) def. STRATHMORE 3.4 (22)
MATCH CENTRE

Caroline Springs has survived a last-quarter Strathmore surge to win its maiden Airport Toyota Premier Division game by seven points at home.

While the match finished off as a tight nail-biter, the first three quarters told a different story.

The Lakers 1.2 (8) held the Mores scoreless at the first change after Taya Meiers slotted Caroline Springs’ first EDFL top flight major.

It was then a goalless 20-minutes that followed for the home side, with Strathmore picking up its own 1.2 (8) to trail by one at the main break.

Caroline Springs then returned the goalless favour back to Strathmore to pick up an untouched 2.1 (13) with Ebony Stevens and Meiers contributing to the score sheet.

After a fired-up three-quarter time huddle, the Mores came out firing, ready to snatch the win from the Lakers, scoring 2.1 (13) to just 0.1 (1).

With the lead sitting at just two points with not much time left until the final siren, it was becoming likely that whoever kicked the next goal would take the win.

That’s when the Lakers unleashed Meiers yet again, who slotted her third, steering her side to the win.

It was Nyomi Stowers who was named the Doutta Galla Hotel player of the match. Stowers was strong in the contest and set up a lot of forward forays that drove her side to victory.

Joining her on the Lakers’ best-on list were Jordin Williamson and Chloe Kropman.

Eloise Egglestone, Sarah McKinnon, and Milla Murphy impressed for Strathmore, with Matilda Fitzpatrick, Maeve Langston, and Murphy scoring goals for the Mores.

It’s the first time Strathmore has tasted defeat since 2024, and it’ll look to bounce back when it travels to Oak Park next weekend.

Caroline Springs will remain at home to welcome Keilor as it seeks a 2-0 start.

ABERFELDIE 6.6 (42) def. OAK PARK 5.4 (34)
MATCH CENTRE

Aberfeldie has taken revenge over last year’s qualifying final opponent Oak Park, leaving Clifton Park with an eight-point win.

Oak Park opened the game strongly with three unanswered goals before Abers’ Emily Smith opened the account for her side.

The goals kept flowing in the remainder of the term as the Roos found another and the Two Blues picked up another three from Meg Ginnivan and a Moana Hope double.

It was then a second-quarter stalemate as both sides were unable to find the big sticks, with the Two Blues heading into the rooms up by just one behind.

They wouldn’t score big until the final term, while the Kangas secured their fifth and final goal in the third term, with Sasha Nelson and Felicity Theodore both leaving with two, and Ellie Huggard decorating the goal sheet with one against her former side.

The final changeover saw the Roos up by one straight kick, but with Aberfeldie determined to pick up its first four points of the season and the Roos looking to go 2-0, it was clear that this game was far from over.

Both sides returned heaving, but it was an all-Abers comeback after goals from Lara Churchill and Smith, who secured her second.

Former AFLW Shinboner Jess Duffin made her Aberfeldie debut one to remember and was named top of the best-on list for the club, joining Ginnivan and Maddy Hall.

The Roos entered the match with a great start but couldn’t carry 100 per cent of the momentum beyond quarter time, something that they’ll need to focus on across the week.

Holly McGregor and Jorja Elisseou were two in blue and white who impressed, with Theodore also joining the list after her two-goal outing.

Aberfeldie has evened its ladder record at 1-1 and will look for a consecutive win as it faces Moonee Valley at Ormond Park next weekend.

Oak Park returns to JP Fawkner Reserve to face Strathmore.

KEILOR 2.1 (13) def. by ESSENDON DOUTTA STARS 7.13 (55)
MATCH CENTRE

Essendon Doutta Stars has made a statement early into the 2026 Airport Toyota Premier Division Season after it recorded a 42-point win over Keilor.

It was a welcome win at Green Gully Reserve for the navy blue and gold after a narrow defeat last weekend. Saturday’s result sees the Stars placed at the top of the ladder.

While they were wayward in front of goal, it was enough to get a firm win over their opposition, with the Stars flexing their muscles as they led from siren to siren.

The first change saw the Stars up 1.3 (9) to nil, with a wintery breeze playing its own role in the game.

There were six goalscorers for Douttas, with Isabelle Porter securing two.

Play was tight throughout the second and third quarters as Keilor tried to wriggle its way back into the contest but was outscored at 2.1 (13) to 2.6 (18).

Keilor went on to be held scoreless in the final term, with Olivia Castello one of the players who scored big for the Blues throughout the day.

It was a final quarter rampage from the Stars as they sailed away with the four points, as four more goals were added to the tally.

Polly Conway, Jessie Hulett, and Porter were some of the “Stars’ stars”, playing a strong role in the club’s first win of the season following last week’s loss against Moonee Valley.

The Blues boasted Laura Wright, Amelia Grech, and Melda Temurci, who all played some good footy despite the result.

Keilor will hope that it can all have a positive impact in its encounter with Caroline Springs next weekend.

Essendon Doutta Stars takes on an exciting Maribyrnong Park at Walsh Oval next weekend.

MARIBYRNONG PARK 11.10 (76) def. HILLSIDE 8.3 (51)
MATCH CENTRE

In what truly was an entertaining spectacle at Walsh Oval for Maribyrnong Park’s inaugural Airport Toyota Round, it was the Lions who upset the reigning premiers by 25 points.

Players, coaches, volunteers, and onlookers were all treated to a high-scoring affair as the Lions picked up their first win since late 2024.

The new-look Maribyrnong Park Lions were fierce against a strong and physical opponent, but did not hold back at all, despite trailing by 14 points at the first change.

Charli Calleia was one of the best on ground and affirmed that from the first bounce, directing the ball with a clean kick straight inside 50 as things got underway.

Calleia was all over the ground playing flawlessly, with strong marks, accurate kicks, and precise handballs that were too good for the Sharks.

Vice-captain Tegan Matthews was brilliant for Marby and brought one of the highlights of the match in the fourth quarter, sealing the game with a sensational hat-trick of three goals in quick succession.

Matthews ended the contest with five majors, the most for the day across the field.

Alexandra McBride-Loane was also an accurate kick and was always part of great passages of play that led to goals, kicking three of them as well.

The standouts didn’t end there, with Ava Steel starring as she picked up a handy goal and the courageous Zoe Dullard holding firm in the backline.

Hillside brought its all to the match and kept its nose in the contest right until the very final moments.

Caitlin Sargent was one of the Sharks' standouts and secured two of her four majors in the opening term.

Krissy Trang was a ball magnet across the field, backing up last weekend’s strong display.

Yara Taylor, Ashlee Portelli, and vice-captain Annalise Wilkie, were all also some of the Sharks that stunned in enemy territory, all playing key roles in trying to faze the Lions.

Madalyn Kelly secured two goals in her first game of the year, slotting one in the Sharks’ fast opening quarter and the other when they were desperate to stay in the contest.

The Lions should be thrilled with their performance that allowed them to sing the song in front of a large and excited home crowd for the first time in 630 days.

They remain at home to take on Essendon Doutta Stars next weekend.

Hillside will have the Anzac weekend off, which will give it an opportunity to reflect on the positives of its performance, but also time to work on areas of improvement that caused them to fall short on Saturday.

When the Sharks return, it’ll be a grand final rematch against Oak Park that awaits them in Round 4’s contest at home.

AVONDALE HEIGHTS 8.13 (61) def. by TULLAMARINE 17.18 (120)
MATCH CENTRE

Tullamarine has caused a massive boilover with a brilliant 59-point road win against Avondale Heights.

With both sides proving to be wasteful in front of goal, the Dees were able to produce a monstrous second half to run away as convincing winners.

Their defensive efforts in the second half were a major highlight to take away from the game, keeping the Heights to just the four second-half goals while kicking 13 of their own.

Sal Melilli was influential all afternoon, accumulating possessions while also booting through two goals, and Steven Vocale also hit the scoreboard with four majors.

While for Avondale Heights, a disappointing second half will no doubt be the key takeaway from the game.

After a solid first two quarters, they were rolled in convincing fashion and simply had no answers for the Dees.

They hit the road next week to take on St Albans at Kings Park Reserve, while Tullamarine will face their biggest test when they host Oak Park.

CRAIGIEBURN 12.10 (82) def. RUPERTSWOOD 5.18 (48)
MATCH CENTRE

Craigieburn proved to classy for a wayward Rupertswood outfit, securing the win by 34 points in what was a challenging day for both sides.

The Eagles, largely thanks to Rupertwood’s yips in front of the sticks, took a 10-point lead into half time with the game hanging in the balance.

In a game of chances, the Eagles took the most of theirs and went on to secure a hard-fought six-goal win.

They now sit second on the ladder with a record of 2-0, and in a similar position to that of last season where they registered two wins from their first three games.

Bryce Kimuliatis did the damage on the scoreboard for the Eagles with three goals to his name.

On the opposite side of the fence, a frustrating day in front of goals for Rupertswood has seen them come out second best yet again.

They missed some easy chances last week against Oak Park and have again cost themselves another opportunity here.

But, Rupo most definitely have the talent and winning formula to correct these early season woes, and with such a wide-open competition this year, conversion in front of the sticks is going to be as critical as ever.

Luke Sultana was enormous all day for Rupo, with his 33 disposals, 11 clearances, and eight inside 50s standing out in what was an evident best-on-ground display.

They’ll get a chance to improve next week when they host West Coburg in another test at Salesian College, while Craigieburn will welcome Moonee Valley to DS Aitken Reserve in what’s shaping to be a thrilling clash.

OAK PARK 10.9 (69) def. WEST COBURG 8.9 (57)
MATCH CENTRE

Oak Park has come from behind to overrun West Coburg in a gritty 12-point win.

In what was built as a mouth-watering clash between two heavyweights of the competition, it certainly lived up to the hype.

They could hardly be separated all day with scintillating footy and brilliant goal kicking from both outfits.

Four final-quarter goals to one from Oak Park was ultimately what sealed the deal, with last year’s minor premiers starting the year off strongly with consecutive wins.

Big man Josh Hotckin was instrumental again, with his 21 disposals, 40 hit outs, and 10 marks earning him Doutta Galla Hotel player of the match honours.

Ben Smokrovic was another strong performer with the crafty forward finishing with three goals for the day. Smokrovic will be a key one to watch the for Roos this year having made the move from Aberfeldie over summer.

Meanwhile, West Coburg will certainly not have lost any admirers from their performance here with some key personnel to slot back in.

While they were overrun late, the Burgers are without question in for another run at the premiership after two good performances to start their season.

They’ll look to make amends next week when they travel out to Salesian College to take on Rupertswood, while Oak Park will clash with Tullamarine in what’s lining up to be an intriguing contest.

ST ALBANS 22.11 (143) def. EAST KEILOR 9.8 (62)
MATCH CENTRE

St Albans has dealt East Keilor another blow with a thumping 81-point win at Kings Park Reserve.

A competitive first three quarters of football saw the Saints take a gettable 35-point lead into three-quarter time, however, that’s as close as East Keilor got as the Saints went on to pour in nine goals to two in the last quarter.

In a real percentage booster, the Saints will be pleased with their final passage of play but would no doubt have liked to put the Cougars away a little earlier in play.

Jacob Townsend starred on return with seven goals, while Mason Dipetta kicked six.

For East Keilor, another pleasing first three quarters of footy is evidence of the improvement made over the pre-season, but that inability to put together a full four-quarter performance remains.

It gets no easier for the Cougars next week when they host Taylors Lakes, while St Albans will host Avondale Heights in an important clash for both sides.

TAYLORS LAKES 11.10 (76) def. by MOONEE VALLEY 16.14 (110)
MATCH CENTRE

Moonee Valley has announced themselves with an impressive 34-point road win over the highly fancied Taylors Lakes.

After a tightly contested first half of football which saw the Lions take a five-point lead into the main break, the Fog flicked a switch and produced an 11-goal-to-five second half.

It’s a significant win for the Valley, who now sit on top of the ladder for the first time in years.

Mitch Clarke was robust up forward with four majors to his name, while midfielder Callum Clinnick was dominant around the ground.

On the other end of the scale, it’s an extremely disappointing result for the Lions who fall to 0-2 and are left with plenty of work to do over the next few weeks.

Daniel Younan was solid with three goals, with Mitchell Jones also contributing strongly in what was a concerning day for the Lions.

Moonee Valley is set for a top-of-the-table clash with Craigieburn next week, while Taylors Lakes will get a chance to bounce back when they face East Keilor.

WESTMEADOWS 10.7 (67) def. EAST SUNBURY 3.6 (24)
MATCH CENTRE

Round 2 kicked off with Westmeadows making it back-to-back wins to start season 2026 with a clinical 43-point win over East Sunbury at Willowbrook Reserve.

The Tigers got the jump early and left the visitors goalless at quarter time.

Despite a fightback in the second term from East Sunbury, kicking a couple of goals inside the first seven minutes, Westmeadows held the Thunder off for the rest of the match.

An incredible five-goal performance by Courteney Munn was the standout on Saturday morning.

Munn had a highly influential game in their season opener receiving best player honours, and she has backed it up with a match-defining performance in Round 2.

Liana Keenan, Georgia Betros, and Mackenzie Best were all seen among the best for Westmeadows.

Meanwhile Paris Latimer, Ruby Marie Bowen, Breanna Tarczon, and Stephanie Jones never gave up on the challenge, and were praised as top performers for East Sunbury.

The Tigers, who will want to make it three on the trot, have another morning clash against Tullamarine next.

East Sunbury will be looking to respond after a tough defeat and will face the Sunbury Kangaroos in a twilight slot away from home.

The Bears controlled the game for most of the afternoon and got out to a 33-point lead early in the final term.

Roxy continued to push to the final siren, however, and kicked the last three goals to reduce the margin.

Burnside Heights co-captain Kiara Asani-Davis was named her side's best and was among five individual goal scorers.

Fellow co-captain Jorgia Redmond one of those goal scorers named second best.

Sophie Pettman showed out on debut for Roxburgh Park as its best, with fellow former Greenvale Jet Malake Hamdan also among the best with a goal on Roxy debut.

The Magpies will next head to Gardiner Reserve to play Gisborne, while Burnside Heights will host Coburg Districts.

CRAIGIEBURN 9.11 (65) def. TAYLORS LAKES 4.3 (27)
MATCH CENTRE

Slow-starting Craigieburn had a clinical final three quarters to defeat Taylors Lakes by 38 points at Highgate Recreation Reserve on Saturday afternoon.

Taylors Lakes came out inspired after a tough loss in the opening round, nailing the first two majors and holding the Eagles scoreless at the first break.

From there, we saw a powerful performance for the rest of the match from the home side, nailing nine goals to two in the final three terms.

A couple of goals each from captain Sienna Scuderi and Mia Mihos led the way, along with Mia Hitchens, Caitlin Stark, Kaylee Allen, and Zali Poorter, all receiving best player honours.

Stef Valerio kicked a couple for the visitors, and was among teammates Sarah Jamieson, Charlie Goodwin, Stella Hoye, and Emma Villani as the best for Taylors Lakes.

The Lions are next set to host the Sunbury Lions with a chance to get on the board, while Craigieburn looked to continue their amazing form against the top-of-the-table Keilor Park in the morning slot away from home.

SUNBURY LIONS 0.0 (0) def. by KEILOR PARK 13.9 (87)
MATCH CENTRE

Keilor Park continued its strong start to the year with an 87-point win over Sunbury Lions at Clarke Oval.

The Devils were on fire from the outset kicking four goals in the opening term, and would steadily add to that across the remaining three quarters.

Georgia O'Donovan led the way with four goals, while Sophie Shaw kicked three alongside six individual goal scorers.

Stephanie Aleksovski was named their best with Mia Tournas and Jetah Keighran.

The Lions were unable to hit the scoreboard but Olivia Cornish and Hayley Parke were named their best.

They'll look to bounce back against Taylors Lakes, while the Devils will host Craigieburn.

COBURG DISTRICTS 7.9 (51) def. TULLAMARINE 0.0 (0)
MATCH CENTRE

Coburg Districts has secured its first women's win in 609 days with a 51-point triumph over Tullamarine at Cole Reserve.

The last time the Lions tasted success was in its 2024 grand final win, so you can imagine victory was oh, so sweet.

It was just a six-point margin at the first change, before Districts kicked 3.6 in the second term to open up a 30-point lead at the main change.

They kept Tulla scoreless and added a further three goals to close out the big victory.

Isabella Cunnington led the scoring with two majors, with five goal scorers contributing to the brilliant team victory.

Bridgette Aparo was named their best alongside Zoe Manning and Sarah Docherty.

For the Dees, Anais Lipski and Tricia Devine were solid contributors despite the loss, as was Charlotte Jackson.

Tulla will have a chance to bounce back next against Westmeadows, while Coburg Districts will play Burnside Heights.

GISBORNE 4.1 (25) def. by SUNBURY KANGAROOS 5.5 (35)
MATCH CENTRE

Sunbury Kangaroos continued its strong start to the year with a 10-point win over Gisborne at Gardiner Reserve in the twilight match.

It was a frustrating day for Gisborne, only having two scoring shots to three quarter time.

The Kangaroos' third term set the game apart as they headed into the final term with a 15-point advantage.

The Bulldogs fought hard in the final quarter but the 22-point lead early in the last by the Kangaroos was too much to catch late in the game.

Maisy Crowther kicked three of Gisborne’s four goals and was crucial in the Bulldogs hopes of hunting down the Kangaroos.

Meanwhile the Kangaroos were led by Nichole Knudson, Kristy Turner, Lisa Kirby, Bailee Said and Tylah Bell in their win on Saturday evening.

Gisborne will be looking to respond next Saturday afternoon against the winless Roxburgh Park. The Kangaroos are set to play in a third straight twilight clash, this time against East Sunbury at Eric Boardman Reserve.

By Leroy de Villiers

NORTHERN SAINTS 18.8 (116) def. by SUNBURY KANGAROOS 20.9 (129)
MATCH CENTRE

Sunbury Kangaroos made it two from two with a 13-point win over Northern Saints in a high-scoring contest.

The Kangaroos held a comfortable lead for most of the afternoon but had to hold off a rampaging Saints outfit in the final term.

The opening 16 minutes of the last quarter saw a whopping 10 goals kicked, eight of which for the Saints, making it a nine-point game with time to spare.

The Kangaroos kicked the only goal to follow to hold on in a memorable clash.

Mitch Kook and Mitch Streiff each kicked four majors for the visitors, with Ryan Pretty kicking three.

Rhylee Lofts again kicked two goals, while Stephen Treweek was named their best.

Ezzat Haddara starred on Northern Saints debut with 34 disposals, 12 clearances, and two goals, while Nick Bruno kicked five.

EAST SUNBURY 12.5 (77) def. by GLENROY 14.12 (96)
MATCH CENTRE

Glenroy held off a determined East Sunbury outfit to win by 19 points at John McMahon Recreation Reserve.

East Sunbury led at every change, but the Roys kicked five goals to two in the final quarter to take the win.

Remarkably for East Sunbury, it was a 159-point improvement from the last time they met in Round 11 last year, so there are certainly positives despite the loss.

Daniel Micevski again starred with 33 disposals and three goals, as did Julian Hemala who had 31 disposals and 11 intercepts.

Mark Sabatino returned with two goals, while Jake Young snagged a couple as well.

Todd Elton played a strong hand up forward for East Sunbury with six goals, while Rusi Komaitai returned to EDFL footy with 24 disposals, 22 hit outs, and 11 clearances.

East Sunbury will next play Sunbury Kangaroos, while Glenroy will host Westmeadows.

ROXBURGH PARK 23.16 (154) def. BURNSIDE HEIGHTS 8.6 (54)

It was a triple-figure victory for Roxburgh Park which opened its account for season 2026 against Burnside Heights.

Seven goals from 14 scores in the opening term set the tone, as the Magpies continued to pile on the pain from there.

A whopping 12 goals from Teronne Roberts-Potter led the way, with Eyad Hegazy (three goals) and Ethan Derrick (two goals) the other multiple goal scorers.

Roberts-Potter was unsurprisingly named their best alongside young guns Jordan O’Dwyer and Zane Terranova.

For the Bears, Luke Bonello and Ben Ryan tried hard and were named their best.

Roxy will look to carry the momentum into their Anzac Eve clash on Friday night against Hadfield, while Burnside Heights will host Coburg Districts.

HADFIELD 8.13 (61) def. by COBURG DISTRICTS 15.10 (100)
MATCH CENTRE

The Lions led by 20 points or more at each change with the first four goals of the game giving them the early ascendency.

They got out by as many as 43 points at the start of the second half in what was a strong win.

The Hawks couldn't buy a goal in the final term kicking six behinds, with 4.1 to Districts displaying the difference in accuracy between the sides for much of the day.

Curtis Rawlings (five goals) and Jack McNamara (four goals) again proved to be a dangerous duo in front of goal for Coburg Districts, with Ahmed Elbaba and Marcus Rametta also among the best.

Stephen Mihelakos-James and Josh Trembearth kicked two each for Hadfield, with Sam Godden leading all comers with 40 disposals.

The Hawks will look to bounce back on Anzac Eve against Roxburgh Park, while Coburg Districts will play Burnside Heights.

WESTMEADOWS 19.11 (125) def. KEILOR PARK 9.7 (61)
MATCH CENTRE

Westmeadows enjoyed a statement victory with a 64-point win over Keilor Park at Willowbrook Reserve.

The Tigers kicked five goals in the first quarter and kept the Devils scoreless, enjoying a quarter-time lead they'd only build upon.

Seven goals to two in the third quarter really opened up the margin as Aaron Evans led the way with four goals for the game.

Riley Hearne, Shaun O'Grady, and Daniel Spencer each kicked three in a strong offensive performance.

Tristan Russell was named Keilor Park's best with three goals, while Shylo Smith again kicked two.

The Devils will look for their first win when they host Northern Saints, while Westy will play Glenroy in their traditional Anzac Day clash.
