THE Essendon District Football League has made the difficult decision to not take part in the 2018 AFL Victoria Community Championships.
The League fielded senior interleague teams in each of the past four seasons of the competition.
However, upon review of the EDFL Senior Interleague Program following Season 2017, it has been determined that it is not in the League’s best interests to participate in the competition in 2018.
This decision only applies to 2018, with the League to re-consider its position for 2019 and beyond at a later date.
The EDFL would like to thank all the players, coaches and support staff that have been involved with our Senior Interleague Program over the past four seasons.
