The Calder Cannons have unveiled their Boys and Girls Futures squads for 2024.
The Cannons have named their full squads for the Under-16 Boys and Under-16 Girls Futures squads which boasts an incredible amount of EDFL talent.
EDFL junior boys comprise 70 per cent of the 30-person squad, while EDFL junior girls make up 20 out of the 29 in the selected squad!
Coates Talent League Under 16 Boys and Girls matches will be played during March and April, with all 12 Victorian teams to play two matches.
The Calder Cannons Under 16s Girls side played their first game on Friday March 8 against the Western Jets where they went down by 15 points, although their best players were comprised entirely of EDFL athletes!
The girls will look to bounce back on Sunday when they play Northern Knights at Highgate Recreation Reserve.
The boys meanwhile will play Northern Knights at Trevor Barker Oval on April 2, before facing Western Jets at Highgate on April 5.
