ADEM SARICAOGLU'S PREVIEW
THESE two sides might be closer on paper than many suspect.
We’ll find out exactly how they stack up against each other come 2:30 ANZAC Day at Sewell Reserve.
All of Strathmore’s vulnerabilities have been exposed over the past two weeks against good sides in Greenvale and Pascoe Vale, while Glenroy’s form has been OK for a promoted side so far this season.
Neither have their starting ruckmen available after Hamish McIntosh went down with a hamstring injury on Saturday, while Glenroy premiership big man Scott Gilliland hasn’t played since Round 1.
That means former Westmeadows big Andrew Vavra has a big day ahead after making his Strathmore debut in Round 3.
On the flipside, though, both sides will welcome back key cogs that were missing on Saturday.
Glenroy’s forward line will get a significant boost with Aaron Kite and Lachie Ronaldson named to return alongside Tom McIntosh and Judd Brewster, while Luke Jarrad and Dale May will inject some experience that was sorely missed after McIntosh went down against Pascoe Vale.
Strathmore probably needs the win more than Glenroy, but the Roys will have taken note of Avondale Heights’ draw against Aberfeldie and will be keen to get the jump on them ahead of a crucial Round 5 clash coming up at Canning Street.

TARA MURRAY'S PREVIEW
EXCLUDING the Grand Final, this match will be the biggest game of the year in Essendon Ford Division 1.
A big crowd is expected as Dane Swan pulls on the Westmeadows jumper for possibly last time.
There was a large crowd for his first game on Saturday and this is expected to be even bigger.
Swan’s good mate Dustin Martin is among those who have been rumoured to be attending.
The Tigers will be hoping to build on their performance against Tullamarine.
If the Tigers can get the ball cleanly in the forward line, they are a chance.
Dean Clare kicked five on Saturday despite the quality of inside 50s and has nine goals for the season.
Oak Park needs to ensure that they stay away from the hype and focus on their own game.
They’ve had a tough start to the season, with losses to 2017 finalists Tullamarine and Hillside.
The Kangaroos have the players capable of matching it with these sides, but they just need to put it together for four quarters.
A loss would take them to 0-3, not an ideal situation for a team targeting finals.
