The EDFL and Essendon Football Club would like to congratulate July’s Volunteers of the Month, David Pitt from Strathmore and Koby Sinclair from Hillside. It was too tough to split these two legends of our game!
David has coordinated the junior football program at Strathmore for the last six years, with this year achieving a record number of teams for the club.
David is thoughtful, empathetic, and is a great problem-solver for all club members.
In addition to being the head of junior football, David is a runner, bartender, and an incredible asset to the Strathmore Football Club.
David not only helps out on game days and at training, but was instrumental in working to further develop the facilities at Boeing Reserve.
Koby has been an integral part of the Sharks for many years. Koby embodies passion, dedication, and a relentless commitment to the success of the club.
She works tirelessly behind the scenes and helps navigate numerous challenges, all while maintaining a positive can-do attitude.
Koby is not only the club’s secretary, but acts as a team manager, child safety officer, and match day manager.
Her attention to detail, handling of pressure with grace and kindness, approachability, reliability, and willingness to assist sets Koby apart and will leave a lasting impact on Sharks members.
The EDFL would like to thank David and Koby for their hard work, dedication, and passion this season.
Thank you also to all our volunteers and once again, congratulations David and Koby!
Essendon FC will generously provide both David and Koby four tickets to see the Bombers in action!
