Game One - SMJFL 6.7 (43) def. EDFL 2.3 (15)

Game one saw the girls make the trek all the way down to Le Page Oval in Cheltenham for some Wednesday night footy, with new team mates and a new game plan the girls stacked up well in the first half against a tough opponent in the SMJFL. At the three quarter time break we were one goal down in a very evenly matched game. We lost a bit of our structure in defence in the final quarter and gave the Saints some easy looks at goal, letting them run away with the win. Ella Sutherland put in a strong performance in the ruck taking out the player of the match.

Goal Kickers: Stella Williams 2.
Best Players: Ella Sutherland, Chiara Gunn, Stella Williams, Lisa Mezzatesta, Jade Blumfield, Jarrah Wright.

Game Two - EFNL 10.7 (67) def. EDFL 1.1 (7)

Game two again saw us travelling all the way across to Tomore Reserve in Boronia for a frosty Saturday morning game. The EFNL girls were a formidable force stacking on eight first-half goals putting them up by 51 points at the main break. After a few oranges and adjustments, the girls came out swinging playing good contested footy across the board. Mia Sepe kicked her first and our only goal for the game as the girls only conceded one goal in the third. We finished the game off strong only giving up one more goal in the last. Jarrah Wright led the way all day with her hard contested footy earning her player of the match.

Goal Kickers: Mia Sepe.
Best Players: Jarra Wright, Maddison Bowler, Lilly Urbon, Chiara Gunn, Ellie Chandler, Mia Sepe.

Game Three - EDFL 13.9 (87) def. RDFNL 0.1 (1)

Game three this time finally had us at home with an enjoyable 2pm start at Martin Reserve in Hadfield. Taking on our neighbours from the RDFNL, our girls found some continuity and connection coming together to produce a 5.1 to nil first quarter. The girls continued to dominate in the second with another five scoring shots putting us up by 51 at half time, a complete turnaround from the previous game. The second half was no different with everyone getting a piece of the action. While our strong defence kept Riddell from scoring all game, it was the quiet defender Samara Arena leading the way up forward with a bag of four goals. Lilly Urbon's contested pressure and work rate earned her the player of the match.

Goal Kickers: Samara Arena 4, Stella Williams 3, Emma Don 2, Mikaila Theodoropoulos 2, Asha Cariss, Abigail Piccolo
Best Players: Lilly Urbon, Jarrah Wright, Samara Arena, Chiara Gunn, Stella Williams, Mikaila Theodoropoulos.
