HUGO GARCIA

Full Rookie Me Central Draft Profile

Junior Clubs: Greenvale, Taylors Lakes
Height: 185cm
Weight: 78kg
Position: Midfielder/Forward

Rookie Me Central Says: "Hugo Garcia started the season predominantly as a high half-forward for Calder Cannons, kicking eight goals in the first five rounds before really starting to get his hands on the ball further afield. After averaging 16.2 disposals in that time, he hit a purple patch of five straight 20-plus disposal games rotating on either side of midfield."

LACHIE MCARTHUR

Full Rookie Me Central Draft Profile

Junior Clubs: Keilor, Hillside
Height: 188cm
Weight: 79kg
Position: Forward/Defender

Rookie Me Central Says: "An athletic talent with upside, Western Jets utility Lachlan McArthur enjoyed a roaring finish to the Talent League season, earning him a State Draft Combine invite. He went from a season-high 10 disposals at the midpoint of the season to several 16-plus disposal games in the run home. The key move was the switch from attack to defence, where after kicking 13 goals in the opening 15 rounds, he translated his eye-catching athleticism to the back 50."

Rookie Me Central Draft Projection: Late

MAHMOUD TAHA

Full Rookie Me Central Draft Profile

Junior Club: Pascoe Vale, Coburg Districts
Height: 183cm
Weight: 74kg
Position: Midfielder

Rookie Me Central Says: "Mahmoud Taha is an Essendon Next Generation Academy member and a natural ball-winner. He brought his own pill to the Talent League competition this year, where he averaged 27.2 disposals with Calder Cannons across 12 games. Taha's main focus is his extraction from the contest, often giving off little quick handballs to running teammates, or shovelling it out to space."
