The charges against a West Coburg player arising from the match reports made in the Grand Final between Deer Park FC and West Coburg FC have been dealt with by the independent Tribunal.
The sanction handed down by the independent tribunal has been accepted by the EDFL. The EDFL hopes that this serves as a reminder that any actions on or off the field that contradict the spirit of the game of Australian rules will not be tolerated and the League as a process to deal with such actions.
The EDFL reiterates that it condemns the making of threats against any individuals and points out that such actions are contrary to the EDFL policies, in particular its media policy.
