MICHAEL Shailer has taken out the best-and-fairest title at Burnside Heights for 2017.
The 24-year-old finished the Bears' count 15 votes ahead of boom recruit Josh Covelli, who snagged 84 goals for the year.
Shailer has not missed a game in two seasons and was part of the Bears' inaugural senior team back in 2014.
