The EDFL is seeking expressions of interest for suitably qualified applicants for coaching group positions in the 2026 interleague program.
Positions are open for:
– Head Coach
– Assistant/Line Coaches
The selected coaching groups will work collaboratively to deliver this program in consultation with the EDFL junior operations department and interleague coaching coordinators.
Matches for Under 14s and Under 15s programs are played on Wednesday May 27, Saturday June 6, and Monday June 8.
The Under 13s carnival will be held on Sunday June 7. If you are unavailable for any of these dates, please let us know.
To be successful in either coaching role you must have:
– AFL Silver Coaching accreditation, at a minimum.
– Current Working with Children Check.
– An ability to work collaboratively and engage with coaches, administrators, and other people who work within the program.
– Demonstrate outstanding communication and leadership skills with proven experience building a strong team culture and delivering player feedback.
– Passion for junior development and ability to build strong training programs and game plans that focus on competitive player development.
– Attend all training sessions and games.
– Attend all interleague lead up events (jumper presentation and strategy/coaching sessions).
