Full 22 Revealed!

The EDFL is proud to announce the 2026 Airport Toyota Premier Division Team of the Year, as selected by the coaches!

Strathmore's Shaun Bannister and Eloise Egglestone will lead the side as the respective coach and captain following a rapid rise back in the top flight.

Egglestone will start in the middle with Olivia Madden (Aberfeldie) and Ellie Huggard (Oak Park), with Amelia Wright (Aberfeldie) the starting ruck.

Aberfeldie's Moana Hope will remain one of the deepest forwards with Jacinta Kondis (Caroline Springs) slotting in beside her.

Em Smith (Aberfeldie) retains her position at half forward, while swapping teams didn't impact Holly McGregor (Oak Park) and Tegan Matthews (Maribyrnong Park) who fill out the forward five.

Caitlin Pretty (Caroline Springs) and Terira Fry (Oak Park) fill the full back slots, as Isabelle Porter (Essendon Doutta Stars), Jess Duffin (Aberfeldie), and Annie Gray (Hillside) round out the defensive unit.

Keilor's Olivia Castello will start on the wing, as will Strathmore's Sarah McKinnon.

Starting on the interchange is Maggie Styles (Oak Park), Caitlyn Volpe (Caroline Springs), Milla Murphy (Strathmore), Talia Motta (Strathmore), Sasha Nelson (Oak Park), and Matilda Zander (Moonee Valley).

SELECTION PROCESS & CRITERIA

All EDFL Teams of the Year are compiled based solely on the input of each club’s senior coach.

The 2026 Airport Toyota Premier Division Team of the Year was to recognise the best players of the 2026 home-and-away season.

Other factors such as reputation or form in previous seasons were not to be taken into account.

The coach and captain are determined based on the feedback provided by the senior coaches.
