#RoadToWindyHill

The 2024 season is just around the corner so EDFL Media will be previewing each club heading into Round One. Next, we chat to Maribyrnong Park coach Amelia Beardmore who provides some insights on their 2024 campaign.

Coach: Amelia Beardmore

PRE-SEASON FOCUS

"Fitness and team bonding has been a big focus and bringing in some new recruits meant we have had to bring more inclusion into our preseason.

"We've been putting a lot of run in our legs so we can start strong."

PLAYERS TO WATCH

"We have a few across the board – our veterans: Shelley Lampard (captain) and Lucy Bray. Some young talents in Alex McBride-Loane, Jade Cilia, and Darcy Robinson are another few.

"I'm also excited about some new recruits Tay and Tegan."

2024 OUTLOOK

"We want to bring the fun back to footy. Getting excited for Saturday mornings and playing the game we are throwing so much time into!"

EDFL MEDIA SAYS

Maribyrnong Park were just on the outside looking in to the finals series in 2023 and have added a few pieces to try and lift them up a few spots. Amelia Beardmore steps into the head coaching seat of the Premier Division side after coaching their second side last year and will be keen to see the Lions roar in 2024.
