2024 Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division Team Of The Year

Full 22 Revealed!

There are 15 changes from last season in the 2024 Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division Team of the Year.

Keilor's Mick McGuane was again selected by his peers as the Coach of the Team of the Year after another incredible season, with East Keilor ruck and reigning Reynolds Medallist Matt Dennis selected as captain.

Dennis was unanimously selected in the team, as was his midfield unit of Airport West duo Tyson Young and Matt Hanson, and Strathmore's Trent Dumont.

Strathmore's Liam Cavanagh is another star that boasted unanimous selection and starts at centre half back, retaining his spot in the backline with fellow key defenders Lachie Stredwick (Pascoe Vale) and Brad Xavier (Keilor).

There will be plenty of drive out of the defensive half with the three best rebounding defenders in the competition entering the side in Dylan Laurie (Essendon Doutta Stars), Billy Cannolo (Deer Park), and James Bailey (Keilor).

All six forwards are different from last year's side with league leading goal kicker Luca Muratore (Airport West) unanimously selected, starting on the half forward flank.

Ahmed Saad enjoyed a strong first season in red and black with 46 regular season goals to start in the forward pocket, with East Keilor recruit Lachie Smart (39 goals) in the other pocket.

Aberfeldie co-coach Ben Ronke will start at half forward after a 35-goal season splitting time between forward and the midfield in his first year at Clifton Park.

Strathmore spearhead Athan Tsialtas will start at centre half forward after finishing third in the league goal kicking with 41 goals, while Keilor's Cody Brand (36 goals) will start at full forward.

Keilor will patrol the wings with Corey Ellis (uananimous selection) and Nick O'Kearney providing plenty of class, both moved from the engine room of last year's side.

Joshua Browne is Avondale Heights' sole representative and will start on the bench alongside Michael Kiraly (Essendon Doutta Stars), Kane Barbuto (Keilor), and Nayef Hamad (East Keilor).
