2024 EDFL Senior Women's Football Fixtures

Full Fixtures Revealed


Fixtures for all four senior women's football competitions have been revealed for the 2024 EDFL season.

EDFL Airport Toyota Women's footy will return on April 13 with a full suite of games.

AIRPORT TOYOTA WOMEN'S PREMIER DIVISION

Premier Division will again be an eight-team competition between Aberfeldie, Essendon Doutta Stars, Hillside, Keilor, Maribyrnong Park, Moonee Valley, Oak Park, Strathmore, and Westmeadows, with the promotion of Division One premiers Essendon Doutta Stars for Strathmore the only change.

We don't need to wait long for the action to heat up as Oak Park will begin their premiership defence at JP Fawkner Reserve in Round 1 in a grand final rematch with Aberfeldie.

Essendon Doutta Stars re-enter the top flight and will start their season against Maribyrnong Park, while Westmeadows host Moonee Valley, and Keilor take on Hillside at Joe Brown Oval.

Round 4 will be played over two weekends in May with a further two weekends off over the King's Birthday weekend and in the middle of the July school holidays.

A three-week finals series between the top four sides is set to commence on the weekend of August 10 and 11, with the grand final currently slated for Saturday August 24.


AIRPORT TOYOTA WOMEN'S DIVISION ONE

Division One will be a six-team competition after finishing the 2023 season that way, but will comprise of three new sides joining the existing Greenvale, Burnside Heights, and Tullamarine.

Airport West were promoted after one of the more dominant seasons earned them the Division Two premiership as Strathmore comes back down to Division One following their relegation. 

Meanwhile, Keilor Park mark the emphatic return of their women's program in Division One and will play an ANZAC Day curtain-raiser against Tullamarine.

Setting the tone for the season, Greenvale will host Burnside Heights in Round 1 with their last meeting a thrilling finals victory for the Jets, while Airport West will host Keilor Park and Strathmore will travel to face Tullamarine.

There will be no relegation from Division One in 2024 as a three-week finals series between the top four sides is set to commence on the weekend of August 3 and 4, with the grand final currently slated for Saturday August 17.


AIRPORT TOYOTA WOMEN'S DIVISION TWO

Half of Division Two will be made up of new sides with Glenroy, Roxburgh Park, East Sunbury, and Taylors Lakes joining the competition in 2024.

They will join Pascoe Vale, Coburg Districts, Sunbury Kangaroos, and Sunbury Lions as returning sides with the latter dropping down from Division One.

Local derbies will take place in Round 1 with Pascoe Vale hosting Coburg Districts and Sunbury Lions hosting Sunbury Kangaroos, while Taylors Lakes will venture out to John McMahon Recreation Reserve to take on East Sunbury and Glenroy will host Roxburgh Park.

A three-week finals series between the top four sides is set to commence on the weekend of August 3 and 4, with the grand final currently slated for Saturday August 17.

Both season 2024 grand finalists will be promoted to Division One for the 2025 season.


WOMEN'S RESERVES

With seven clubs fielding a second women's side in 2024, the EDFL has created a Women's Reserves competition.
