THE EDFL’s revamped video series, EDFL 2017, claimed AFL Victoria’s ‘Best Use of Online Media: TV Show’ gong at Friday’s Community Awards Event at IKON Park.
The new series, hosted by EDFL Media’s Julia Montesano, replaced the previously successful EDFL Web TV show, which was hosted by Teo Pellizzeri and Adem Saricaoglu and ran from 2014 to 2016.
That show claimed the same AFL Victoria award in 2014.
The new, short-form video series ran throughout Season 2017 and was released on the league’s YouTube and Facebook platforms, contributing toward an impressive 1410 per cent jump in viewership from 2016.
Congratulations to everyone that was involved with producing EDFL 2017, including Adem Saricaoglu, Julia Montesano, Jamie Morey, Adam Russell and the entire EDFL Match of the Day commentary team, whose calls featured in each of the EDFL 2017 match highlights editions.
